You know the tune because every sports stadium in the world has played this song…or the crowd has chanted it. It was unavoidable.

Jack White is a genius. This beat has become an anthem for football. You should also look up the Black Keys if you like this. OK Go is another great band you’d love. Look up their video for ‘Here it Goes Again.’ You’ll be shocked

I’m not sure if you noticed, the drummer, Meg White, is female. She is widely respected in the female drummer community (and beyond) as one of the tightest drummers around. The open hats in the chorus are genuinely 🔥. Love you & your channel, love from a lady drummer in 🇿🇦

Seven Nation Army is played in every sports stadium in the world. From College football entrances (See: Penn State) to European Soccer clubs (See: Belgian team Club Brugge). I don't think you could have missed it through the years.

It's hard to believe it's just him and his ex-wife. This was a pretty big song and very different when it came along. They really have some talent, another from this album is Ball and a Biscuit that really showcases their writing ability.

*This song is basically about gossip, the lies ppl tell, and the way ppl react to it all. It's also about the frustration of being stuck in the middle by having to watch and listen to ppl stab each other in the back. I've been in that situation (many have) where you have friends but those friends don't like each other. Then they come and complain to you about the other person but that other person is your friend too so you're stuck.*

I'm from the Detroit area original and I know that he uses the Michigan "hand map" to point at "Detroit" on his palm below his thumb when he sings "I'm going to Wichita far from this (soap?) opera for ever more" and that supports the original commenter. Jack said he left Detroit because of the infighting, jealousy and backstabbing, so yeah, could be.

Detroit in the house, that's where they're from. And they play this song in stadiums all over the world, because if you listen to the lyrics, sounds like there's an ass whoopin' coming. It's weird but the popularity of the song started in stadiums in other countries first, after its initial run on radio and topping charts, and since it began as a theme for soccer fans who didn't speak English, they called it the "po po po po" song, and they would just chant the guitar riff after they'd score. Sounds intimidating when a whole stadium does it. And the rest is history.

Shon, I tend to have a negative impression of Gen Z because I'm an old ass man and a Marine but I think that you and people like you might solve the problem of racism in this country. Almost all hatred starts with not understanding and refusing to find the why of it. It's hard not to relate to someone that gets your favorite song the exact same way that you do even if they don't look nothing like you and /or come from where you come from. Plus, I like seeing someone listening something I take for granted with no preconceived opinions and like it as much as I do. Good job.
