The smashing pumpkins are extremely diverse, this is one of their heaviest tracks. They have incredible mellow music also, you shoud probably check out 1979, Disarm, or Mayonnaise. Probably my favourite band behind Radiohead.

Interesting. This is the second time in a row where a millennial reaction is like, "why did they smash all that equipment."

2:12 Words are good. 2:29 "Thinkin' something" is good too.

Probably not the best introduction to Billy and the Smashing Pumpkins

Austin - if you like Depeche Mode, you should really try some more Smashing Pumpkins... specifically, "Eye", "Ava Adore", and "Confessions of a Dopamine Addict". I enjoy them the most when they involve electronics into their typical guitar-heavy sound. I don't really like Everlasting Gaze, but I do love Billy Corgan and lots of SP. Their biggest hits are "1979", "Tonight, Tonight", "Zero", "Cherub Rock", and "Bullet With Butterfly Wings". All of the songs I've mentioned sound nothing like Everlasting Gaze - give them another try! Also random fact, Billy (lead singer/songwriter for SP) is a big DM fan. SP covered "Never Let Me Down Again" as a soft ballad, and he performed the song on-stage with DM in 1998.

Great tune their first 3 albums are great top to bottom after that they are a bit hit and miss but overall one of the great bands of the 90s try the song Porcelina of the Vast Oceans for a deep cut that is awesome.
