This anime is right up your alley. It’s about a guy who witnesses his entire family being killed by a gang and grows up to infiltrate that gang’s syndicate so he can rise up the ranks and exact his revenge on them. Another great anime revolving around this kind of theme is called “gangsta” and is actually better in my humble opinion and of course the opening for that one is phenomenal too.

91 Days is a really good anime about vengeance. It's amazing and you can really understand the struggle of the main character as he makes his choices. Basically his family got killed by someone from the "mafia" and he finds a way to get inside of this group to find and get close to the murderer. But as you would guess, things aren't that simple, and things aren't all black and all white. It's really well thought, and also really short, definitely recommend it ! Ah and if you can, please react to Gintama Openings ( all openings ) it's famous and really good !

I absolutely fucking love this show, it's in my top 10. And yes it is indeed about America in the prohibition era, and it indeed is very realistic and raw with no hints of fantasy whatsoever. It does revolve around on gangs and organised crime so it is definitely very dark, but it's totally worth watching. It's 12 episodes long, not a movie. Please give it a watch when you can.

@@2DTL 12 eps is considered a short anime for people who grew up watching anime years ago when the standard was a full season of 22-24 eps with some anime going as far as 50+. Nowadays, 12-13 eps per season is what you're going to get because studios are just trying to pump out more content.

It's a great anime about revenge, it's basically a mafia film in anime form. The tension, the execution, this opening, it's all great. Also 86 is a mecha anime that's amazing, the characters make you love the show so much. And it has such great tension and story you have to watch it. Frankly there's a lot of anime you need to watch, and the list will only get bigger with time I assure you.

I think that's the short version of the song you watched, if any song from a japanese artist ends abruptly in a music video then it is the shortened version, some label release shortened versions of songs for the MVs if the song is "too long" for them, doesn't happen often but I guess it happened here, usually the full song is in the album version so apparently the opening is a short version of an already shortened version of the full song lol

Oh man, I remember watching this show as each ep released and was so engrossed in the storyline that having to wait a week between each ep was real tough haha. It’s an emotional and complex ride, definitely recommend Also, if you’re interested in checking out other engaging stories in anime with dark themes that are set in more realistic settings, I would highly recommend checking out Terror in Resonance (Zankyou no Terror)! It’s an extremely underrated anime and is a real short one, as it only has 11 episodes, but it’s so compelling that the story will stick with you. Genuinely, probably still my favorite anime to this day

Honestly this one is such a good watch! It's a hidden gem; it's realistic and brutal, and while it's only 12 episodes I feel like the length of it is just right. It's an anime-original, which means it doesn't have a manga it was based off of, and it's produced by the same studio that animated the fourth season of Attack on Titan :)

It's an amazing anime and what you need to know is it's a story of revenge for the main character and his journey to attempt some form of justice for his family's untimely deaths at the hands of those they trusted. A betrayal for a betrayal is the goal. The anime features an MC whose goal is deliver justice for his family and the reality of what they sort of journey brings to the one who travels that lonely road of revenge. It's solid and completed

There are actually a lot of shows that have nothing to do with powers or supernatural things. You have very popular slice-of-life animes like GTO or music related anime like Your Lie in April or Kids on the Slope. There are sports anime like Haikyuu that you already know or realistic thriller shows like Monster. You can even find animes on agricultural life (like Silver Spoon)... There is basically an anime for every theme you can think of.

As you have guessed, 91 days plays out during the prohibition somewhere in Itali. The main characters family gets killed and his whole goal is vengeance and to do that, he infiltrates the mafia family in which his family's killer is. There is a lot of death, illegal deals and scheming. Definitely worth a watch. Btw, the full song cuts off there because of publishing reasons. Some japanese bands/ their labels do that, so you have to buy the song/album to get the full song. As for 86. Its a mecha anime, where some empire created autonomous mechs, that ended up wiping out that country and are now destroying the surrounding countries. You follow a group of mech pilots and their handler as they fight against the onslaught of those autonomous mechs. The anime covers a lot of dark topics, racism, classism, death, grief and much more. The animation by A1 pictures in combination with the score by Hiroyuki Sawano make for a beautiful and epic experience. Would definitely recommend giving it a watch.

this anime as far as I remember from when I watched it was so good. I remember really enjoying it. it's about a man infiltrating the nearby gangs to get revenge for the death of his family, which he witnessed as a child. I believe there is a big part of it about prohibition type alcohol smuggling, but I dont remember fully since it's been a while

Minami made a new anime OP definitely highly recommend checking that out. The song is called Aiue by MAISONdes ft. Minami It's an OP for an anime called Urusei Yatsura (2022) which is a reboot for an old 1980s anime by the same name. The music video also just recently dropped, so if you decide to check it out I recommend checking out both the OP and MV. One last note: When searching the OP be sure to include "(2022)" for Urusei Yatsura so you don't get it mixed up for the 80s anime OP.

The main character gets his whole life taken away from him by the Vanetti family mafia when he was a child so he infiltrates the family to gain their trust as he slowly kills off the ppl who wronged him and setting up the family’s downfall. Absolutely amazing show; great writing , great Music, and great va work (especially the dub they go all in with it) P.S. and the title 91 days is literally just that it was 91 days from the time he started his revenge to the end of it

Yeah this is a prohibition era mafia revenge story, it's pretty short only 12 episodes. I enjoyed it. My favorite anime that is completely based in reality and realistic is Monster (2004), it is a masterpiece and pretty underrated, and some of the parts of show are based on reality and there's nothing supernatural.
