Toby Keith is one of the greatest song writers of our lifetime. Does he represent Americana? Sure. His lyrics, song structure and bars are indisputably fire. Yes I love Eminem, Nicki, Wayne, Ashford and Simpson and he's a story teller like them. America has all kinds of stories.

A quick note. Sending prayers to Toby Keith as he was diagnosed with stomach cancer last fall and has undergone treatment and chemo. He's had to cancel his concerts for the rest of this year. Praying he'll return healthy and strong to entertain us with more songs.

Actually he wrote Cryin' for me for Wayman's funeral but couldn't do it cause it hurt him too much so he did Willie's Angel's flying close to the ground instead. He decided to record it using Wayman's band member's after the funeral.
