People probably hate him from his old shit cause he was very lyrical miracle, he was also like 17 so his voice could throw you off... Hes evolved a lot even beyond this. He sounds more calm, a hair deeper, and just all together more of a sonically pleasing sound. His flows really set him apart, finds pockets in beats that shouldn't exist.

Have not looked to further comments to see who else pointed this out; the hate he gets from some. He just started real young and has grown as he’s become an adult. He won the 2nd No Sucka’ MCs contest; in 2016 at like 16/17. Joyner Lucas won the first one, the year before. Token did a lot of the Lyrical Miracle songs in his start and they were also very bragging bar heavy. I think it’s fine to have some and he does it well with the flows that it can be entertaining, but like Keith here said, he’s grown and gotten deeper; albeit his newest releases “Debtures” and “Chit Chat” were some of this. Again, to agree with Keith’s point, he finds these flows that no one else seems to think of. In my opinion, I think he’s a lot of fun to listen to and I bet his soon to drop project is going to be good.

I have major requests because I'd love to see your honest reactions. I dabble a bit in every genre. I just love music. I even had an idea for a series like reacting to the most popular songs/albums/or artists of the last few decades from a bunch of genres. i would start with "What if it was me" i feel that song would be a good way to hook yourself. Then just go crazy. He's 3 dimensional. A King, A Clown, and a G. So he blends a lot of genres blue, metal, rnb, gospel you name it. Other Songs i recommend are "Wither", "In My Head", and "No Gun Control". Im sure there are more popular songs that ya'll can go for and might do better in the algorithm. There's a couple reasons people probably hating on token. A. Cuz he's skilled(jealous) B. Some of his older fans don't like he's flexing so much. When he came up his songs were deep and had meaning. Now its flow flexing. Personally I've been a fan for a long time and don't feel that way. But I get why some would. I say let him flex. He's earned it. And c.Tom MacDonald did some slightly shady tactics towards him to make it look like they were buddies on social media. So he set it straight and said he didnt really fuck with him or his music.
