This band was made up of some great musicians.Jeff Porcaro was one of the most sought after studio drummers since he was in his teens. He sadly passed away in his late 30's.🎶🌴

Toto was an amazing band. Very tight musically, and respected in the industry. Many prominent artists including Michael Jackson would call on them on occasion to help contribute to their albums.

The idea for this band, - according the story - was conceived during the sessions for Boz Scagg's "Silk Degrees" with massive hit "Lowdown", keyboardist David Paich doing all the arrangements on the album. Founder member drummer Jeff Porcaro was also on the sessions with bassist David Hungate. They added keyboardist Steve Porcaro and guitarist Steve Lukather and singer Bobby Kimball high parts and percussion on the video. Paich became the main composer in Toto. If you take a look on Michael Jackson album "Thriller", you'll find those names there and countless albums on the 80's as well. :)

I'm guessing this song sounded familiar to you because it was a massive world-wide hit, and it would be almost impossible for you to not have heard it or parts of it somewhere. Definitely my favorite Toto song; these guys were all ace studio musicians. Their guitarist, Steve Lukather, alone played on over 1500 albums covering all genres of music. Absolute great song.

@@JustJammin yessir I love how she is using producers who are multi instrumentalist and are from the ROOT funk and soul days. I just want one trendy producer like Tommy parker who is working with Janet as well to make an ariana grande or j cole type of 2022 song

Just Jammin’ you have no idea of how GREAT life was, even before videos...just listening to the radio in the morning on the way to school, back home, on the weekends cleaning...the sounds were so diverse! Minimal sampling save for the New York rappers and James Brown. You had to have talent and a LOT of musicians could read music, compose and play more than one instrument!

Cool song, cool reaction. But I think music videos can distract us from the production and musicianship of a good song. That bass line during the final moments of the track was top notch, and those tight harmonies make me forget that I still have no idea what the hell this song is about!
