Exactly! Someone in the comments incorrectly mentioned that Dr. Dre was around since 1986 since he said 10 years in the rap game, and the album All Eyez on Me was released in February of 1996, BUT....this song was first released as a single at the end of 1995, and then added to the album. So at this time, 10 yrs for Dre was 1985, which has already been confirmed as well, with him being a part of World Class Wreckin' Cru, before co-founding/creating NWA in 1987. Dre was 30 years old when they made this song and video. Tupac was quite literally fresh out of jail when he recorded this song😅

@Dolphin Not defending. But, seriously. When did you ever catch every bar on your first listen? I, for one, an a musician. So I always listen to music and beats first. While trying to listen the lyrics. But I catch the tempo, key, changes in progression. Lyrics is last. I had to listen to a song at least five times before I knew the words. Nowadays, I listen to a lyric video, before I even bother with the “official”. Helps me out in EVERY GENRE. But, I had no clue back in the day. That’s why there is a great comedy bit from Peter Kay called “Misheard Lyrics”! Listen to it at your own risk. Once you hear his words for it, you might always hear them, regardless of what your brain tells you. Lol

I’m live here literally from rosecrans ave here in L.A. and Elliot ness is the one who took Al Capone down and was the lead detective in the torso murders in Cleveland in the 30s I believe. Good man but the torso murders case nearly drove him insane. Also he came out with a book on his life called the untouchables which is what Dre was alluding to cali
