@@larsbonzai It's a stretch, but you could. For me though, they have a more Rockabilly sound than Johnny ever did. Same with Social D so their cover of Making Believe (which I think is also a cover) is a real tribute to their roots. They even say they do the song in the Social Distortion flavor. It would be the bomb if Mike Ness guests on a Volbeat record.

Very diverse band. Like one person said it's definitely rockabilly metal. They're from Denmark & yes has an accent. The singer's (band's) influences are Elvis & Johnny Cash actually along with heavy metal. Totally different sound when u listen to their whole catalog re: Black Rose, Thanks, Broken Man and the Dawn, I Only Want to Be With You (!) & so much more. Man, my introduction to Volbeat was Warrior’s Call and Still Counting. Coincidentally, I just opened a very old workout playlist and those 2 songs were on it. Good cardio cadence. In Warriors Call when he say Fight Fight Fight…. makes me dig in.

Denmark groove heavy metal... I call it Rockabilly metal... I don't know if that exists. They have very good albums and great songs: "Lola Montez", "For Evigt", "Black Rose". Another band to consider is Amon Amarth (Sweden)... they are much... much heavier... a sample song: Saxons and Vickings... a song with (or a battle against) the emblematic English band Saxon.

Amazing band live, and they still open their shows with this song even though it was released 3 albums ago. Much like Metallica opened with enter sandman through out the 90s. This tune just kicks off a show with the right energy

I endore Volbeat but what I the most endore is Michaels travel or struggle from Dominus towards Volbeat (kzbin.info/www/bejne/oXWtZ4ygZ8yJfJo). He at the start couldn't sing only brawl. After a sugery no more brawl - so he left a "few" but imho gain a lot. Unfortunaly Rob Caggiano left the band 2023 as a very stong group member. Could Volbeat survive withtout Rob? The furure of Volbeat is to be set in São Paulo, Brazil at Allianz Parque at the Dec 6, 2024. Will they become a wellcome warmup for Iron Maiden or do they fail. The audince will gratitude them for sure (they got history there) - but what about their endings? Volbeat is either become legend or obsolete on the Dec 6, 2024
