XG is Xpop a new genre concept by XGALX from AVEX JAPAN 🇯🇵. XG has only been out for a little more than one year. I’ve been following them since their first DANCE PERFORMANCE..MOVE 1# and I thought they were a DANCE CREW. Later I got a notification for a Teaser for a Song MV. This was an Intro to their Mini 🧬 Album 💿. I have been watching them ever since. Every member is an “ACE”. They continue to amaze and shock me with every Song, Choreography and MV. The lore is basically there, aliens of extraordinary, genes and talent and has come to earth, and all of their videos in succession and songs have relayed as such. XG (Xtraordinary Girls) is a girl group that is made up of 7 members. They are all Japanese but they auditioned and were trained in Korea like a kpop group. They also do a lot of kpop music shows. They speak Japanese, Korean, and English (to varying degrees). Of the 7 members there are 3 vocalist and 4 rappers. But all of the rappers can sing as well. And they all dance. They debuted in 2022 so they don't have a crazy big song catalog. They have 9 songs starting with the debut song, "Tippy Toes". They also have side projects that they do. The "Tape" series (1, 2, 3a, and 3b) are rapline features and the "Vox" series (1 - 5) showcase the vocalists. They also have the "Mov" series that show off their dancing. There are also dance practices for every single. There is plenty of BTS content and a documentary showing how the group came together. If you start to like the group, I recommend watching it. No. They auditioned in Japan 🗾and the majority of the group were already trainees at Avex Artist Academy. They were trained in Japan and did some camps in korea. They started traveling between the 2 countries and XGALX was created for them to operate from sk as well. Now they're based in Seoul and Tokyo. In their documentary you can see that they stayed in Japan most of their trainee time. Also, you can find the Apple Music interview where they are in Japan and show their dorm there.

You will not regret diving into XG. They have no weak links, no weaknesses. They’re like a dance crew that can dance and rap. And they are students of the old school hip hop game. I think you would really enjoy the “tapes” from the rap line; if you like artists like J Cole and JID, you’ll love it. As for their music as a group, they’re also heavily influenced by artists like TLC, Lauryn Hill, Aaliyah, Ashanti, Destiny’s Child, and many more. Their song, “Shooting Star”, is my #1 song on my Spotify wrapped this year, along with being my most played song of all time, and it only came out in January of this year. I listened to it over 200 times, it’s that good😭 4/5 of my top songs for this year were also from XG. I promise you, you’ll have a great time!

XG is a girl group originally from Japan. The girls are born and raised in Japan 🗾. Most of them were Avex Academy Artists trainees and moved to their second base in Korea to operate under Avex subsidiary XGALX. They call themselves X-Pop and their main genres are Hip hop and R&B. XG stands for Xtraordinary Girls. They have said many times that they are not kpop or J-pop. They have a base in Tokyo and another in Seoul, since part of their promotions are from Korea through their participation in music programs, so, in addition to speaking Japanese and English, they also learned Korean 👍

XG is a japanese group based in South Korea. Their producer is a former idol for a kpop group. XG for many people is kpop, pop and jpop, for us fans they are "X-pop" .. All their songs are in english (they sing in japanese and korean too at times but mostly for covers) For me they are more kpop than anything, they trained under the kpop industry, they promote like any other kpop group on korean music shows and they do content like any other kpop group.

from what i understand jakops produces a lot of their songs in collaboration with various artists from places like atlanta. he apparently also has an affinity for african music. cool that you started with this. this is the two intros tracks to their first main release. it basically introduces their concept as being aliens from outer space and goes into GIRL GVNG which is them landing.
