I listen mostly to music from the East now. Once you listen to this type of music there's no going back as far as I'm concerned. The instrumentation, the musicality and their voices everything put together just out plays all American Music. There are exceptions of course artists such as Pentatonix, Avi Kaplan, Sara Bareilles, Jonathan Roy (He's Canadian ) and there are others mostly the singer-songwriter type. Zhou Shen, Jason Zhang, Hua Chen Yu, Misia, Dimash, Polina Gagarina, Diana Ankudinova etc I listen to daily. Pick any Zhou Shen off Singer, they are all good. I found Zhou Shen while watching Chinas reality tv show Keep Running, he was a regular last season. He sang on one of the episodes and I googled him and then watched some his KZbin videos. ‘WOW’ this lil guy can sing. And he is funny too!! I consider you are extremely blessed to come across Zhoushen. As Zhoushen is one Artist Singer who may come by one in a thousand years. As Zhoushen is gifted with the most beautiful Art of Singing singing most naturally. Every performance is so natural and goes into everyone soul and hearts. Really like Zhou Shen. He is a talented but humble singer, and his songs are so touching. I hope one day you will react to a Taiwanese band call "Sodagreen". They can sing tender songs like 'Rainy night' but also have songs about heavy topics, like 'He raised his hand to make a roll call'. They just ended a intellectual property lawsuit and can come back with their name. What's more, their vocalist Wu Qing-Feng are soloing in recent years. He has joined “Singer 2019”, a previous season of Zhou Shen and got the second place. He released his 3rd solo album in September but still in the band. He is the only person who got “Best Male Vocalist (Mandarin)” and “Best Musicial Group” prizes of Golden Melody Awards in Taiwan (also best lyricist, composer and arrangement).

i discover zhou Shen before Dimash. these two singers were in russia for a classical singing training....in the high notes they both have the same abilites but as much Dimash makes me feel strength, as much zhou Shen makes me cry with his notes angelica.... At the same Chinese show (The singer) it would be interesting for you to listen to "Hua Chenyu"...from the same generation as Zhou Shen but he formed himself and included rap in his songs...when Hua Hua take the stage we never what to expect as madness...like Dimash....start with "Nunchucks" you will not regret it!!!!!!!!! This song was on the first ep of Singer 2020, ep 2 was also in the studio and then covid struck and they had to stop production. Then when they came back they all had to tape from their own cities but Zhou Shen had to tape from his own house so ep's 3 & 4 was done from his home and ep 5 he went to the studio in his city and the week after that he was allowed to fly again.

This song Big Fish was for an Animated kids movie. He first came to be on The Voice of China in 2014 and a year or 2 after that he was asked to audition for this song and they gave it to him, He said in am interview that when they asked him he put a blanket over his head and sang under it while recording it and sent them that recording. It was also said that the ending of the song was his idea. Zhou Shen has been doing songs for movies, animations, dramas, commercials, computer games and he dose a lot of promotional songs for China. It has been said that he dose something like 50 new songs a year just for these purposes. that dose not count for all the covers he dose and all the live performances & of course all the variety shows he dose. I herd it said the other day that he works 7 day's a week, non stop.

Recommended before in the discord but a Korean KZbinr, Raon, has amazing vocals. She's mostly done anime covers but also a few covers of English songs, couple of KPop covers (such as BTS and BLACKPINK), as well as several original songs. One of my favourite Zhou Shen songs is from a CDrama called The Sword and the Brocade and is called Be Together.
