हॉर्नबिल फेस्टिवल (Hornbill Festival) का आयोजन प्रत्येक वर्ष नागालैंड राज्य के स्थापना दिवस (1 दिसंबर, 1963) पर किया जाता है। इस त्यौहार की शुरूआत वर्ष 2000 में नागालैंड सरकार ने कराई थी जिसका उद्देश्य नागा जनजातियों को आपस में एक दूसरे से परिचित कराना व देश दुनिया को नागा समाज की संस्कृति से रूबरू कराना था।

Actually kachari tribe is not included with naga tribe....they are just representing their tribe in nagaland hornbill festival....and Kachari belongs to Hindu religion.

Dimasa kachari are not from nagaland tribe but because some of them were settled in nagaland long back they became a nagaland citizen but they are not an indigenous tribal naga..

2001 censes nagaland government officially recognized Kachari and kuki as minority tribes.As of now 17 tribes.They kuki and Kachari are also a part of naga according to the government of nagaland.For more detailed visit nagaland government official website.
