I am sure for many this will be quite a change, from the long Asian series but we are back in Europe for some time, in Eastern Europe to be exact. We arrived the day before and on the first morning out I am going for a walk in the center of town. Let´s come along and make this possible. Next video my family will be part of it too.

Great to hear that you and family have chosen Bucharest to be your base. And Mrs Moonshine to continue her teaching career. Thanks a bunch for the cool and interesting walk about. Loved the beautiful buildings there, no honking and it's very clean. Looking forward to more videos on Bucharest/ Romania. Best regards and may god bless all of you 🙏🙏🙏

20:24 Roma Migrated from northwestern India about 1,000 years ago. 'The Gypsies' by Jan Yoors is a very interesting book on the Roma people if you haven't read it.The author ran away from his white Belgian family at the age of 12 & lived with the Gypsies for 10 years.

@@yvesthesleeve Ya please never compare those to native Romanians , dont do that mistaqe ^^ They have theyr own language and habits , that native romanians dont understand . they are a small minority here. Same like Indians in UK more or less . They are actually native indians to, bought from India as working slaves hundred of years ago ! They migrated all over world anyway , u can see them in most EU countries.

Cucuteni Culture, then Dacians and Romans (ruins), then UNESCO world heritage sites. Also, low urbanization so rural is very important (plus rural preserves culture, traditions) and nature (mountains, the Danube Delta) is very important too. Plenty of caves, waterfalls, lakes, lots of mineral water, plenty of thermal. Foreigners tend to just go to a few cities so a very quick summary of what's actually out there. Also, food, lots of that to try. And unlike some cultures, Romania has lots of soups, lots of pickles. Oh and eats a lot of bread, so don't forget to pair things with bread - for example most soups are sour and that usually requires bread. If you search for info online, search in Romanian, not in other languages as you are not gonna find much in other languages.

Roma people are Indians from Rajasthan i believe, they moved to europe centuries ago, i think they were prosecuted in a lot of european nations for being gypsies. I don't know the full story though, hey maybe you can read about it a bit and talk more about it in your next Romania video. Thanks for the videos man they're fun to watch :)

Romania has piqued my interest. Is it part of the Schengen Area? What is it's capital city? Is it known for its wealth? How about job opportunities? What's the scoop for international students? Is it a hotspot for tourism? And let's not forget about its delectable cuisine and rich culture. What's the historical backdrop of Romania? My understanding of Romania is at ground zero. Moonshine I am passing the ball to you it's time to explore its mysteries and secrets for us.

And out come the winter sweaters. We considered moving to Bulgaria because property is incredibly affordable and we are fed up with the visa runs., But of course the Brexit (a-holes) destroyed that dream for the rest of us Brits. I guess Romania is a similar country weather and property wise? "Maybe amongst the communist tyrants he was not the worst" - That's a low bar

Bucharest has 2-3 mil population, all sort of nationalities, so you don't look different there. Half south Romanians are more like Mediterranean type, of Neolithic farmers, while mountain Romanians and the half north have lighter features. Romanian language is a mostly Latin derived, simply because we are former East Romans. The closest grammar to Latin plus some Paleo Balkan features. That church is the largest Orthodox church in the world, Union fountains start from 15 May to November,. At 1,5 km are the longest in the world. There are some beautiful light shows after sunset there. Roma gypsy people are about 3% in Romania, are more or less integrated, but in Romania they do a lot less bad things than in the west. Is even said that they 'work' in the west then bring everything back home, where they build enormous palaces. They look a lot richer and way more integrate in Romania than Bulgaria or Hungary for example, where many are still in the ghetto stage and still operate a lot in the markets, like many years ago in Romania. But in Romania they also have all the minority rights in the world, unlike other East European countries. Those well integrated are good Romanians and the majority is proud of them. Many still live on social security services, just by making many children and getting child allowances.
