There's something unique about the Philippines. It was then colonized and some tried to colonize by the western world and the Asians might such as Spain, the British, Americans, Dutch,Japan, and China. It was a strategic country in asia that consist of 7641 islands, a peninsula that foreign countries were dying to conquer. Most of which is Panay Island especially in"Iloilo" because it is a strategically ideal location for the economy and it's the heart of the country.

Can't believe this is your first time in Iloilo KD! Welcome to my birthplace and where I will end up soon after I retire from the workforce here in the states for the second time! The City Of Love! Guimaras was my second home as my mother is from there and we still have property. Back in the day, Guimaras was still part of Iloilo province. BTW, Jaro is pronounced as Haa-ro.

Hope you had fun in Ilongo Visaya! People there are friendly and welcoming, as I remember it when I was a kid and visiting Iloilo. Batchoy would be a must eat if you're in the area and don't forget the mangos from Guimaras. I always laugh when I hear native Ilongos speak to each other, as their accents are really unique and no where else like it in the Philippines.

I was born in Iloilo and lived in Jordan Gimaras Island until five. Our house was over the water and at high tide, fish would be swimming under our house. I need to visit the place where I was born but not the Aswangs. There was then but not sure it is still around. The best tasting and sweetest mangoes are from Gimaras.
