there is not a scam, is because you booking AbnA so is under certains agent or the owner of the aparments. Is normal in other countries too. the deposit also save too when to check out

Just recently Individual owner rent out the property will ask for deposit whenever see foreigners because recently my rent out apartment is a disaster or mess after rent for foreigners. The oil is everywhere in the kitchen wall and sofa even inside bedroom.my carpet is mess with red vine too.before not asking deposit but now certain owner or agent will ask for deposit when know is foreigners to avoid big loses. 🙏🏼
