@ i’d say it has more similarities to Tunisia than Morocco, especially the food, and their dialect (minus the French). Also the old city in Tripoli is very similar to the Old city in Tunis.

@ I think it's possible but you'd have to be with the tour guide and a couple security guards at pretty much all times. Things are certainly getting better though so maybe in a few years safety concerns will go away and it'll be much easier for tourist to visit. I live abroad now but if you ever end up going to Libya feel free to reach out, I know many people in Tripoli who would be more than happy to show you around and take you to the best spots!

We loved Tunisia when we travelled there. We visited january 2015 and loved it. We did a brilliant wine tour trip, the star wars desert trip and the amazing carthage. We were devastated later that year the horrific shootings happened especially for the tunisian people as they're so lovely. We're hoping to return again soon.

The turkish coffee in Tunisia is locally called "Arabic Coffee", the water you put on the coffee is actually rose water, to flavor it.

In Tunisia we know it as Arabic coffee, meaning coffee made in the traditional way (the word Arabic in Tunisia means traditional or made in an old way) and we do not mean the Arabs of the Arabian Peninsula and the Turks took it from us and since most tourists go to Turkey and Turkey also contributed to spreading it in European countries, this coffee is known as Turkish but it is originally Tunisian, especially since we only put orange blossom water or rose water on it to flavor it.

It's usually called "Arabic coffee" beacuse "boiled coffee" was firstly appeard in the arabic golf, starting from Yemen then saudi arabia, even if it become famous under the turkish flag. Both appellation are used in Tunisia. The "arabic" is usually describing homemade product in tunisian dialect. ''Arabic mozzarella' means homemade one, it should not be comparaed to the original mozarella with ingredients coming from the country it appears. I hope you enjoyed your journey in Tunisia.

Rome copied everything Carthaginian and adopted it. Which is not a bad thing, shows boldness and wisdom. The aqueducts were Carthaginian as with most colosseums. Also the art left in New Carthage (Cartagena) is impressive. Greetings from Carthage🎉

Heyyyy, Tunisian living abroad here! 👋 Born and raised in Mahdia, so I have to recommend it! You should check out the old Medina, Skifa Kahla (the grand entrance gate), the Bordj el Kebir fortress, and the historic port area. The whole place has a unique charm! Along with Sousse and Monastir, all of them incredible coastal vibes, beautiful beaches, and a lot of history. If you’re up for more adventure, the south is amazing too-especially Tozeur, with its unexpected landscapes and stunning oases. Just a heads-up: winter is the best time to visit, because summer can get unbelievably hot

I loved my visit to Tunisia last year. Carthage is fascinating and you will love El Jem - it is stunning and extremely well preserved. I highly recommend visiting Dougga for more impressive Roman ruins. I'm thinking of going back to Tunisia later this year - I found the country much more laid back than Morocco and less hassle for tourists and very cheap ! Enjoy guys 😊

I went to Tunisia in 1970 so was very interested in watching your post I remember the Medina which we went to a couple of times.The other thing I remember was how beautiful the weather was we had been in the UK with their legendary grey skies and rain so this was most welcome.We also were very pleased how friendly the people were.The other thing I will mention is how strong your Northern English accent is Chris given that you don’t appear to spend any time in the UK.Great video always look forward to watching your videos.

I hope you’ve planned a trip to Tataouine, where you can explore its stunning ksours (fortified granaries) and Berber villages like Chenini and Douiret, with their horizontal troglodyte homes. The white and blue colors are a well-known Tunisian architectural characteristic. The appetitzer you had with the harissa is called salade houriya (made of carrot not pumpkin). And what was served with the fish is kefteji which is potato, tomato, pepper, pumpkin and eggs mixed together in olive oil and spices. The triangle deep fried appetitzer is pronounced Breek. (Written brik, because they all will read it the french way stressing on the I )

Away from Wikipedia, Carthage was founded around 1300 BC according to history books, according to Sallust and many historians. As for Phoenicia, it is just a myth. There is no archaeological trace of a Phoenician people. Rather, what the Greeks meant by Phoenician was dates or the red color before the distortion of the history of Carthage.

TUNISIA is the gateway to Africa because its ancient name was “IFRIQUIA” (which meant “the key” or “the head”). On the other hand "RAS ENGELA" (in Bizerte Tunisia) In 2014, it is designated as the northernmost point of continental Africa2, the southernmost point being Cape Agulhas, South Africa. and it is through it that the various ancient civilizations that Africa has known such as the Cartaginians entered. the Romans..spanish ottomans...the Muslims. The first Muslim city built in North Africa is KAIROUAN built in 670 BC from which the conquests of the rest of North Africa and Andalusia were launched. and it remained the capital for a long time. and in which the 4th oldest and venerated mosque in the Arab world was built after LA QUAABA MEDINE AND EL AQSA. then we have TUNIS medina built in 698 AD with the great ZEYTOUNA mosque" in which was built "The ZEYTOUNA University" which was classified by the University of OXFORD" as the oldest faculty in the world. dating from 737 AD while the University of QUAROUNAIS in Morocco was built in 859 by "FATMA EL FEHRYA "princess from Kairouan in TUNISIA

@ late winter and early spring are the best time to visit the south , you have to visit ( moon surface ) called ain charchara In tataouine state ( prehistoric places ) where dinosaurs used to roam, where many star wars episodes and films where made ( partially )

Nice Video, make sure to visit Djerba, it is an island in the south, you will like it, also now in Winter you can go to the desert : Douz, Tozeur and spend couple of days in an Oasis, you will love it!
