As long as Vietnam is still ruled by the oppressive and exploitive Communist regime, her potential remains greatly diminished. For any 1% that wants to stay, 99% of the population wants to get out, and many have risked their lives doing just that (for example, 39 doomed lives found in UK container truck recently on the news, and that's only what's been reported), unfortunately. Yet another shocking and also recent example is that during the Covid pandemic when almost all countries assisted their citizens with financial aids in one form or another, the corrupt and murderous Vietnamese Commie regime saw it just another opportunity not to help but to exploit its ruled citizens even more, essentially making money over the corpses of its citizens by presumably killing at least 30K of them, due to misdiagnosis and being and cramped into barbwired unhygenic living quarters for isolations, so that they had to sleep on the concrete floors, with inadequate food, water, or medicine, like animals, with the fake nostril Covid test kits, mislabeled as approved by World Health Organization (WHO) in Việt Á scandal, colluded by at least 4 different government agencies (Y Tế , Khoa Học, Công Nghệ, Quân y) and the top Politburo members, including Nguyễn Phú Trọng, Phạm Minh Chính, Nguyễn Xuân Phúc. Murderous Vietnamese Commie regime even had a thug murdered Christian pastor Giuse Trần Ngọc Thanh, like it has done with many other pastors across the nation. There is a reason why the current Commie Vietnam ranks at the bottom of the world in freedom of speech and freedom of the press, barely above Commie China and Commie North Korea. Similarly, its passport ranks at the bottom, 89th out of 111 countries for a reason, barely above North Koea 104th rank. even below many African nations. For comparison, South Korea 2nd rank. That's what Republic of South Vietnam would have likely been ranked among at least the top 10 had it not been invaded and occupied by the North Vietnamese Commie terrorists, aided by Commie Soviet and Commie China. Travelers to Vietnam in her current form (not at all like this before the Communists took over) should keep this in mind. Behind the beauty of the land and smiling faces at popular tourist destinations, there are a lot of darkness and sorrow, horror, and sufferings all over the country.

Just spent over ten days in Vietnam we did Saigon flew to Hanoi took a boat over night to Halong bay & flying back to Saigon for a night I absolutely love Vietnam it’s so fun diverse something for everyone Vietnamese people to me an Aussie come across as so nice helpful determination & honest brutally honest. They keep incredibly clean it might look messy by comparison but there’s literally 98 million people squashed into such a tiny area. I watched street food vendors for hours from my balcony room. It may b cooked & prep on side walk but it’s all done with focus on cleanliness. I don’t think I’ve heard of anyone getting sick from Saigon or Hanoi food it’s the freshest food & the cheapest food

That's so awesome to see you guys enjoying Vietnam and walking around locally to explore. Can't wait to be back there to eat all the cheap food! I'm sure you know by now that when you cross the street in Vietnam, you want to walk consistently at a good pace and don't make sudden accelerations or stops. Sudden movements will cause drivers to react and don't know where you're going and can cause accidents. Go at your pace and let them go around you. Have fun!!!!! And enjoy all the delicious food there!

Vietnam is not cheap in every way. Everything is low quality from food, clothes, healthcare, hotels, and service. Vietnam is not a rosy place like many post on here. It is a dangerous place to travel in, dirty, unsanitary, disease ridden, noisy, uncivilized country full of cheats and liars, and the Vietnamese are not loyal people. The Vietnamese only welcome tourists for their money. Don't be mislead by the posts about how great it is here and how wonderful the country is. Just look at the highways how filthy and litter-ridden they are. Life is still cheap here and buses and trucks will run you over and kill you to make a bit of money. There little consideration in this country for you or your life.

- You need to wait for the pedestrian signal to turn green before going. - In areas where there are no traffic lights, step through slowly, raise your palm towards the oncoming vehicle and the vehicles will give way to you (most people will give way to you, but not all), so calmly step over and handle the situation. - The best high-end cafe and the taste is amazing that you can find in Ho Chi Minh is TRUNG NGUYEN LEGEND! - BANH Mi and Vietnamese PHO are delicious, but try some other dishes that are also very popular in Ho Chi Minh. I will list a few below. I will write in Vietnamese so that you can easily find information. + Dishes about snails at night (Ốc đêm). + Gỏi cuốn. + Bún chả. + Cơm tấm. + Hủ tiếu cá + Hủ tiếu Nam Vang. + Gỏi khô bò. + Sủi Cảo. + Bột chiên. + Bánh tráng trộn. + Bánh Tráng nướng. + Trà sữa.

The phở and banh mi I had both Da Nang and Hoi An were phenomenal too, and cost only $1. (They weren't nice restaurants like you ate at, but the food was great.) Glad to see that you are doing better with crossing the streets than I did! 😂
@ShevandDev2 жыл бұрын
We were thinking of you when we were there!! Haha and the honking 🥰😂 we are still yet to find a $1 place 🥵 but enjoying it bit by bit!😍 and survived the roads haha 😂
@latebloomerabroad2 жыл бұрын
@@ShevandDev It helps to have someone to cross with, I think. Only street vendors were $1, the ones where you sit on the little red plastic chairs that are usually for 3 year-olds. In my experience, those people had the best food, and ironically the cheapest as well. I’m glad you’re enjoying it!!
@latebloomerabroad2 жыл бұрын
@@ShevandDev One thing I did notice in your video was the absence of the constant honking I heard in Vietnam. Maybe each city is different? Or the honking is only at intersections, probably. Since there were no traffic lights or stop signs, their only way of communicating with each other was honking. Your crossing looked fun instead of potentially deadly! 😂 I wish I could have visited with you two, my enjoyment would have been greatly increased! 🥰

Hi, myself and a friend are trying to get to Vietnam but as South African passport holders apparently require a letter of approval from a Vietnamese authority which is facilitated by a Vietnam tour agency. This is required before getting a Visa from the Embassy in Pretoria. Have you any connections or information that can help please?

Wow! Crossing the street is literally a hope and pray moment. I watched and honestly said to myself how does an elderly or, handicapped person cross the street? I was amazed at the tiny micro gasoline station that was barely off the street selling gasoline for motorcycles. Vietnam looks like Holland; just motorcycles instead of bicycles. That said; please by careful guys!! No one wants anything to happen to either of you.

I'm Vietnamese (married a German lol) and I just found your channel and I'm loving your videos! 😀 Just a side note, pho broth is the MOST important element of Vietnamese pho. Pho broth is the soul of the dish. Considering the 12+ hours it took to make just the broth. It can make or break a dish and all Vietnamese judge based on that. ❤❤❤
