Renting out is a huge problem every where my condo, apartment in central delhi is locked for years.... instead of renting it out paise tho athe. Nope. Can't trust any in c delhi. Issue h udhar. Good vid.

Rules vary by province. I am not sure if it was mentioned so keep in mind this is all specific to Ontario. For example, AB does not have rent caps. You can increase the rent by however much you want once a year. I know many other provinces have a cap.

Mo, in my view, please don't get me wrong, all over the world, the governments have let the living costs rise by assuming 2 income families. Single income is too dangerous situation for new immigrants. I had to persuade my wife to work.

Great information Paaji, but I don't think there is a rule in Ontario that says landlords cannot refuse tenants to have pets. I was refused by many in Toronto, when I mentioned I might get a cat or dog once I move in.

Really cool information, because these home owners had put ads on kijiji for there basement (not part of a building but for a separate house) and they mentioned in the ad no pets. And when I met them in person, they refused to rent me because I mentioned I might get a pet. Maybe i would need more investigation in this, this sounds like an unfair treatment on their behalf.

Looks like you went for higher rent vs higher quality tenant. Not reviewing credit report, makes no sense. That the only way to know how they manage their finically responsibilities: Calling previous tenant is a waste of time, if they are a bad tenant they will not tell you because they want the tenant to leave so it becomes some else problems.

We did review credit :) and it was fine. We just don’t think it’s as important as new immigrants do not have any credit scores - which doesn’t mean they aren’t good people.

@@SuperVanihba in new houses there are separate electric heating, it can be controlled by u only. So they are good....in old houses some times landlord keeps control of heating...so dont go in such houses...if they provide you the control you can consider them
