I'm sorry you lost your friend! The song is actually about Ronnie wanting to be there for his daughter but being on tour living his dream. Ronnie talks a lot about loss and guilt in the song "Brother" by FIR. If you ever feel like bawling your eyes out as well as understanding Ronnie better, definitely give that song a listen. He wrote it for his daughter Willow. She is also in some of his videos. So she knows from a young age what her father does and why he has to leave her every now and then, but he will always come home to her. Many fathers did not have this opportunity and had to leave their beloved children behind. My older daughter is one of those kids and I wish he would come home to her every damn day. I'm sorry for your loss. My son died in a house fire and my husband almost died trying to save him. My husband got over 58% of his body burnt trying to save our son. I'm his at home care taker and he is only 28 now and was 25 years old when the house fire happened and so was I cause it happened on Jan 8 2020. And my husband was in the hospital about 7 months before he was released to a physical therapy facility before he could come home. Rest in peace to your best friend.

The hole in your heart from a lost loved one is something you have to walk around every day with. No one will understand how you feel if they haven't lost a loved one. It's very hard to keep going but I have my daughter and my husband and I had a another boy after he got out of the hospital we have to be here for them so we have to keep going on even if we don't want to.

You can't blame yourself for other people's decisions, dude. My 19 yr old son died of an accidental overdose in 2013. I went thru that same thing, saying what could I have done, but everything happens for a reason. I may never understand that reason this side of Heaven, but God gave me i will never get over a deep pain like that, but I did get past it. I did what I could for him, but he made a bad choice because his girlfriend broke up with him, and it cost him his life. Keep being real, and we will keep watching, for sure!
