Marcelito is fascinating, absolutely. And some female sopranos can do his highnotes of course (and "castratis"). BUT they don't have his rich low register.. And on top of that : if you also concider his unheard of/unmatched tequnice, his phenomenal stageprescens, his RICHNESS, the POWER, different textures, timbre, being able to go from whispery soft to vulcano(!) in EVERY range/pitches from base/baryton to female sopranovoice AND whislenotes up to his D8...... Then it's actually very obvious that from a tecnical point of view : HE IS UNTOUCHABLE AND IN A LEAGUE OF HIS OWN. 🙏😎🙏😎🙏 But then there's always a matter of taste of course! Dimash simply isn't everyones cup of tée. How could he be? BUT, with that said - he HAS the most complex/versatile and "best" voice there is today. That's my firm belief (and many of the biggest vocalcoaches and others in the musicindusty aswell). GREAT reaction guys!! 🙏🙏😃😃 Would LOVE to see some more! Usually everyone (including the greatest singers) has a certain timbre of voice, its type, range and voice accessories inherent in it. In men, the high voice is the tenor, the lower is the baritone, and the low is the bass. For women - by analogy: soprano, mezzo-soprano, alto, contralto, etc. Is it possible, if someone could recreate all these voices? (...) No, it is not possible! Only Dimash is capable of this! There is a concept in music that is called an imitation, e.g. a girl who has an alto voice, imitates a mezzo-soprano, borrows it and raises it higher. But that's not her voice. The amazing thing about Dimash is that all we hear is his natural, authentic voice, which has the effect of having several people singing a song at once, but it's actually the voice of one person. Dimash does not imitate a soprano (...) He has a truly masculine and feminine voice with full range in both cases. So what can we say about someone who has a 7 octave voice ?! Always fun to see first reactions. Dears addicted to this -as you know! Do you call yourself a 'Dear' now Frank? Yes - he studied classical voice since age of 5. Dimash said pre - ( and I think maybe through ?) puberty he was often allocated female voices (when they were short of soprano's ) so that may well have had some influence on how he managed to maintain his upper register/s while developing his lower? Also, one of his vocal coaches said he had unusually long vocal chords - so obviously something genetic there as well. His mother has a beautiful soprano voice too and when you see them sing together their vibrato's match. Vibratos are highly individual, but Dimash also can choose which type and when to apply. My theory is that he learned to sing in the womb. and hasn't stopped since! :) Indeed many people around him report that he sings and hums and vocalises and creates music CONSTANTLY, so the - alleged - 3 hours dedicated daily practice hardly seems necessary! As for powerful projection; of course traditional Opera training insists that an artist can project their voice to the very back of large theatres without a mike, so, you can see him being careful not to 'blow out' his mike when he really lets rip! Whether he's doing classic full tenor or rocker belt.

Beautiful rendition “SOS d'un terrien en détresse” tells of an earthly being that is in distress and asking for help because he never felt well in his own skin, he better wants to be a bird to see the world in case it could be more beautiful when seen from above.
