Poor twisted me is a vastly underrated song. Like all songs of the load and reload intended double album. Because everyone liked the crappiest album of Metallica. Which is the black album. The outlaw thorn is as great as the thorn within.

My Metallica journey begins in 1986 a 13 year old boy was challenged to listen to Metallica for a week instead of bon Jovi. I took his challenge and fell in love with master of puppets. And to this day it's still my favorite album. 🤘

I haven't heard this song in nearly 30 years, lol. Hurry up and get to "Outlaw Torn" please and thank you! 😆 My first album was Justice, which I fell in love with, but then my buddy gave me the Puppets tape and that was it! Puppets and Justice have been my go to for decades! However, songs like Bleeding Me and Outlaw Torn, among many others from different albums need to be in my rotation/playlist!

I simply love that you have no bias, and are growing to love the music I've been listening to and loving since I was 9. so few Metallica " fans" strapped in for the ride in 83 and stayed until the ride was finished "obviously the ride is still going strong" 41 years later.

I’m really enjoying revisiting this album. I loved it on its release, and listened to it constantly (along with Re-Load) for a couple of years. Since then I haven’t listened to it. So hearing it now reminds me of how good it was, and the nostalgia it brings with it. Thanks for bringing it back to me 👍

The first Metallica album I bought was Reload. I was 16 at the time and that album had just come out. I enjoyed and I bought Load a few days later. Load I believed was even better so I just went backwards after that. The album that stood out to me as the one that really hooked me for good was And Justice For All.

I grew up on the ballads before like Ride the lightning and Kill 'em All, but I really like to load and reload a lot. A lot of fans fell off, but load it's probably my favorite album. To the point I was a professional wrestler for many years and I used this song as my insurance because it a great start, those notes hit in the middle of a match when you're interfering or coming out and the crowd loved it whether they liked me or not. But I also named my finishing move "The Outlaw Torn" after the song of the same album.

I was in the 8th grade when I started getting into Metallica (like 1999) and I was really into Justice. As an adult, I think Load is actually my favorite album. A song that I was unsure of at first that I grew to love would be "The Unnamed Feeling." I was disappointed in St. Anger when it first came out, but I gave it another listen and it started to grow on me, especially that song.

The album that sticks out the most for me is Master of Puppets. Everything about it is perfect and it is part of the classic Metallica I love most (Kill em All through ...And Justice for All). That being said, my favorite song is actually off the Load album and its Hero of the Day. There's just something special about that song that I can't really explain.

You should definitely check out "Fuel" if you’re going through Load & Reload, that’s imo one of the bands signature songs and even though it’s not as deep as The Unforgiven trilogy it’s definitely got an amazing vibe and energy to offer

The album that stood out most for me was definitely Death Magnetic. Songs like that was just your life, the end of the line, broken beat and scarred, the day that never comes, unforgiven 3, cyanide and especially all nightmare long are absolute bangers!!!
@axdambient8 ай бұрын
the album that stood out to me right away was Master of Puppets. its a pretty cliche thing to say, but at 13 i hadnt heard an album that sounded so complete before. then, i bought Kill em All. i still have a special place for that thing because i felt how young they were, like i was. 20 years later and it found another kid to thrash his head off. it was a great time. i downloaded a bunch of their stuff, but in the span of 5 months i bought their albums and later bought St. Anger when it came out. bought Cunning Stunts, S&M, Live Shit, everything i could find. i was pretty nuts about it i went through a time where i stopped liking them due to burnout, listening to death and black metal, and thinking i was cool. but i came back and still enjoy them a lot to this day. many times, no offense, i only watch your metallica reactions. ive listened and played too much music sometimes to care about other things that dont have some heavy ass riffs

Load always felt more like a metal blues album to me, really.
@birdman148 ай бұрын
Despite the overall opinion of Load in the Metallica world, it will always hold a special place in my heart. The first time I ever heard Metallica was in 1996 when I was watching MTV as a 13 year old and Matt Pinfield premiered the new Metallica single, "Until it Sleeps." I immediately fell in love with the song, bought the CD when it was released, and the rest is history. That being said, I'd have to say that my favorite Metallica album is Ride the Lightning, although my answer changes depending on my mood. It's like trying to name my favorite Beatles album. Today it might be Abbey Road, tomorrow it might be the White Abum.

I really got into them with the black album then started to go thru the other albums. My parents were more into classic rock so it was unheard of to listen to bands like Metallica. When I found it, it I never looked back. This album was wayyy better than people give it credit for and to me I honestly think the hate for it was bandwagon kinda behavior. They had to grow and try other things besides what they accomplished in the first 4 albums
@themetalhippieplays79938 ай бұрын
For me it was Re-Load and a bit later on Load. My dad tried to make me a Metallica fan with the black album but I was too young then. When Fuel was released as a single I had hear Enter Sandman and Until it Sleeps but the first half of Re-Load had me hooked. I back tracked them and my journey has been crooked and weird but I put Master of Puppets, Re-Load and Ride the Litghtning as my top three. But even St. Anger have sole GREAT songs on it. They go their own way. You should really get into Re-Load after you’re done with Load. It’s the soundtrack to my angsty, pseudo depressed teenage years!
