@@christopheraguilar911 that's why I said she creates the melody first then arrange the lyrics accordingly. If you have observed, she has a way to enunciate a certain word according to the tempo and melody (that does have some enunciation problem but now she has worked on it too). She curve the lyrics and phrasing according to the flow/melody. I am not that good with technicalities but I hope it helps. :)

i'm not sure if you know the context but it's really important thank u, next was released after mac miller's death which happened while she was engaged with pete davidson & the song ghostin is extremely emotional because it's her expressing those feelings of being with pete during mac's passing it's heartbreaking. Ariana's concert in 2017 was attacked by a terrorist suicide bombing resulting in some of her fans being killed. She was dating Mac Miller from like 2016-2018, so he was with her during that tragic time, they broke up in early 2018 because of his struggle with addiction. She was dating Pete and got engaged to him, then Mac Miller sadly passed away September of 2018. Ariana began using her career/music as a distraction from everything going on so she released sweetner and thank u, next albums closely together. While she dealt with a lot of the public's different opinions about her and her relationships. There was some weirdos who blamed Mac's death on her as well. She got a brain scan showing that she suffered from PTSD as well.

“They see Cain and I see Abel” 31:08 is a biblical reference of the two brothers Cain and Abel. Im not sure if you’re familiar with their story but basically she’s talking about them (the public) seeing this person as evil “Cain” while Ariana sees them as good “Abel”. Potentially being blinded by her own imagination of him. At least thats how I interpret it. It’s safe to say that this song is about her ex Fiancé Pete Davidson. I really love your reaction to this album and can’t wait for sweetener!
