Saw your amazing sons last weekend at Sidney Myer Music Bowl. We sang "Rain" in the rain with them. Best concert ever. Josh's voice is absolutely insane. So proud of your Aussie boys. Complete soul superstars. ❤❤❤
@true1evanique4 жыл бұрын
The first time I heard Josh Teskey sing "Rain", I was most highly impressed. He sounds like Otis Redding reincarnated. He also has that pain in his voice as Otis that I've not heard in any other soul singers of the past.

Not a cover, they wrote the song.

I wasn't saying this one was a cover of an Otis Redding song. I was saying his voice sounds like Otis Redding and surely he's some one of his songs before. I'm sure plenty of people have told him throughout his life when he sings that he sounds like Otis Redding.

I would bet the song you're thinking of is Sam Cooke's "A Change is Gonna Come." And while I usually hear a lot of Otis Redding when I listen to Josh Teske sing, that song does evoke similar emotions. Shew. So much soul. Beautiful reaction to a beautiful song.

This video features just _Josh Teskey_ the lead singer on what looks to be a backing track. The rest of the band is his brother Sam who plays lead guitar and their friends Brendon on Bass, Liam on Drums plus they have a rotating roster of people as their brass/horns section, there's many live videos with all of them on KZbin though.
