What I love so much about this one in particular is damn near every line is a reference or just pure firreee! Here's the ones I caught, theres probably some I missed Intro is obvious a reference to the OG Nothin' even mentioning the album its on "nothin' under sixteen" Cocona was 16 when they debuted, and ofc a reference to rap bars "This that O2 flow" Jurin was born in '02, bootlegged mixtapes hit a peak, and O2 as in oxygen flow, Nothin was released in '02 The korean bit after thick skin "I don't need to start drama, I just count the commas" "Who would have thought that the kid would go viral" A reference to the fact Cocona's verse in the Xypher went VIRRAAALLL on tiktok "C to the O-C-O, now" But now pronounced naw so its just her name "Wildin' out without carryin a canon" this can go a few ways, Nick Cannon/Wilding out, Mariah Carrey/Nick Cannon, this one a stretch but even Canon cameras and GGW. Paired with the next line of hands up you get Cannon like a ship's cannon. "Style addictin' try and take a crack at it" Crack being addicting "Step to the Neptunes" reference to the Neptunes, "Chilin' wit my b-boy stance" Reference to Cassidy's Single "then Lean back" the '04 song "true Playa for real" reference to Usher's U Don't Have to Call "Still haven't taken a L" another reference to the xypher "Internet trolls too kawaii act gyomi" Japanese and Korean words for cute, basically calling out people telling them to stop the R&B nonsense and act cute "Guerilla mode" battle tactics "With the bathin ape camo" reference to the brand, plus Guerilla sounds like gorilla "No Joe Camel" reference to Camel cigarettes "Alphaz on deck" the name for XG Fans "On them two letters" XG "Follow like Simon Says" Their CEO's name is Simon "Bout to break ya idol stereotypes" no other eastern music group has done it like this, they trained so hard, are involved in the choreo, the writing, all of it (while ofc getting help) "When coco step in beware of the magnae" Magnae means the youngest in Korean, referencing the fact Cocona is the youngest in the group "lost in the cypher sauce heavy on the spice" Another call back to the xypher but Jurin's part.

You'll enjoy, "Show You Can", lyrics credited to Cocona and Maya (the youngest two in XG). This song was made for Japanese dance crew, Tsubakill, used in dance show Street Woman Fighter 2 (Korean show) in 2023. XG creator and ceo Simon Jakops, helped produce this song as well.

XG always pays respect to the OG artists that they cover the beats from. And like you said, they "appreciate" it not appropriate it. But you really have to be keen on catchin the bars they have on ALL their xyphers. The appreciation is huge. Thanks for reacting to XG
