I just love this song and as I am getting older now I think it is representative of the one thing I was never blessed to ever find. One awesome song that says so much. In the end we never care that we didn’t work more hours on our jobs, but we always care about how we loved and the depth of that experience. I was blessed enough to see people like this in my family who met the person just right for them. I always hoped it would happen for me but in fear I chose two husbands I should’ve never married. Looking back I wonder if I had not been so frightened of being alone if I could’ve found someone like the one she sings about.

Well I have a list of my very favorite songs and people. There's a handful of Etta's songs, same with Billie and then there's Nina Simone, Amy Winehouse, Janis Joplin , Adele and and Macy Gray! I just love her sexy voice and the rawness of her songs. Singers like Macy and the ones I also mentioned a several more who are real singers and you can feel the pain in the heart as they sing. What I guess I'm saying is talented singers with these awesome voices don't come around all the time. They are gifts that come to touch our souls! And people will know their names 100 years from now and longer. Where as the other singers come and go and mostly sound the same. No disrespect to them but I truly love when I'm gifts come along like these singers. Maiya Sykes has a hell of a voice also.got some nice sounds so thank you Macy you touch my heart with several of your songs and several times a day!
