Great video, my wife and I rode some of those trails last year. She road her Can-Am Outlander and I was on mine for the first time we've been there, loved it. Been talking about going to a Mav Trail but man those gates were tight. Your production w/drone footage was perfect!

Y’all are doing great work with the drone. Absolutely beautiful. Also, thank you for the great review on the Terrabites. I’ve put almost 1,000 miles on mine in West Virginia, Virginia, Kentucky, and Tennessee. They are fantastic tires. Keep up the great work. Looking forward to part 3!

Thank You ! I'm glad the tires are working out for you too ! I'm near 2800 miles on mine, they are starting so show their age, but they still do an amazing job. Thank You so much for watching, and thank you for the kind words.

Thanks for riding trail 36 the Harmon trail. We have risen it on our atv but not on our trail yet. It is very tight. The trail that was closed is very dangerous. Trail 29 is fun but is wet most of the time. The views on the arapen are great. We love your videos. You seem to ride like my wife and me.

Thanks For Watching ! Yeah, Trail 36 is such a great trail. Most of it was pretty easy, but there was one bridge that was a bit tricky to get on to, it was just hard to get lined up, but such a great trail. I would like to see 29 all the way through one day, but it just got wetter and muddier as we went, cool trail though.

Jason I noticed your wife was laughing at the sign that said narrow bridge on trail 2. the reason it says narrow bridge is that trail used to be the main road up from Mayfield to skyline drive back in the 70's I believe and so a lot of that trail was a narrow truck road. I just road that same trail on my 650 outlander this spring 21 and it is open now. I have loved your videos I am wanting to upgrade to a SxS and I believe you have given me all the info I need. I will be getting the Maverick Trail.

That's what we figured was something like that happened, but it was kind of funny that the sign was still there. We're still very happy with our Maverick Trail. It's been very good to us. Thanks for watching and hanging out with us. We appreciate it.

Good Lord Jason, this was one of the best videos you and your wife made, the views were absolutely breathtaking! Sorry I have so many questions, but since I’m moving to Kanab next year, I’m trying to gather as much information as possible. Do you have enough gas to make it through these trails? Of course you have an extra three gallons I see. Also, I noticed something on the roof, more storage?? Keep em coming brother...👍🏻😉
@MyATVlife
@MyATVlife 4 жыл бұрын
Thank You ! Yeah, we were pretty proud of that one. I usually have more than enough fuel. I've done several trips over 130 miles and still had fuel in the tank. I've never had to use the extra fuel I carry, but I feel better having it. You just never know around here. You could plan a large loop and you run into a fallen tree (or landslide, happened to us once) and had to turn around, it's comforting to have the extra fuel just in case. The box on top I only carry if we plan on doing a lot of filming. It's just so I have extra room for cameras and drones...

Does that 50 inch Maverick seem tippy to you? I frequent rough mountain trails. And I'm at a point in life that I have zero business riding an ATV any longer. So really want the narrower 50 inch UTV. But worried about stability on a rough, steep, rocky road?
@MyATVlife
@MyATVlife 4 жыл бұрын
Not at all. Taking the front sway bar off made it much more stable on technical trails, but there is a sacrifice in high speed stability. But I don't really go fast anyway. I've been in a few situations where I thought the machine might tip, but it never has.
@stanmai7655
@stanmai7655 3 жыл бұрын
great videos, Too bad you didnt get a chance to ride it before they changed some of the 50 inch trails to 66 and made several of the 50in less fun, less technical than they used to be. I am curious about you riding all alone on one machine. What about breakdowns? wrecks? etc, when riding alone.
@MyATVlife
@MyATVlife 3 жыл бұрын
Well, we try not to stray too far from popular and well traveled trails just in case we need help. And we just be careful. We really don't take any chances, and we don't beat on our machine. We understand things can happen, but we do our best to prevent accidents by not taking any unnecessary risks, and try to avoid breakdowns by maintaining our machine well and treating it well. Not much else we can do. I have heard lots of stories of the old Arapeen Trail system. Seems like there are hardly and 50 inch trails left, but we do still love it there. Thank You for watching ! 👍

My wife and I go solo all the time. I check everything on the rzr twice a month. Drop the skid plate and look for trouble spots. We also have two FRS radios; a cab mounted 25W GRMS; a PLB and of course our cell phones that usually doesn't have cell service! First Aid Kit w/ blood clotting paks. Two batteries with Isolater installed. Sidearms AND GOOD PAIR OF HIKING BOOTS!

Fantastic video! When you come back and do the #36 again, you need to hit the two upper lakes at the top. They are the jewels of that trail. kzbin.info/www/bejne/qojOm36ln7h4r68 The 29 after that mud bog is where it gets real fun. Stream crossings and one really steep switchback hill at the end are the highlights.

@@MyATVlife Do you think this could be a SPRING ride, like late May. It looks like it has less high altitude passes than in your Piaute videos? We are looking for something to do in May that would have good wildflower action but less risk to trails still being under snow. We are based out of Boise, ID.. If this is not a good fit, maybe you could recommend another for wildflower action?! This video is wonderful!!! Thanks!
@MyATVlife
@MyATVlife Жыл бұрын
Both times we have been to the Arapeen were in mid-late June, and both times we have run in to snow on the Skyline Drive and have been unable to make it all the way across. And both of those times were after a mild Winter, so I think May might be pushing it. There's still some great riding at lower elevations, but the way the trails are set up it might be difficult to loop trails together if you can't get up to the upper sections of trails. Plus Skyline Drive is really the highlight of the system in my opinion. Running across the top of that mountain is just beautiful, and I'd bet in May it would just be impossible. So I think it would be possible in May, but I think you'd miss some really great parts of the system because of the snow.
@jimwhite1334

Thanks for the response Jason. We're probably best off with low altitude desert rides in May. Oh well, thank goodness for the Owyhee range for the Boise crowd but I'm anxious to check out some of these places you hit in Utah.
