Great video & music. I have a Jeep TJ but miss my Suzuki 4X4 Sidekick. Wish they still sold them here.

B450R Thank you, trying to get up to Rubicon again this year with a new Sammy and make another video. Should be much better so stay tuned. Love your blazer by the way, was gonna build mine a lot like yours but ended up getting into the Sammys so my Blazer is a tow rig for now.

Wow very nice video,i like the Sammy is not so extreme build but also realy capabel on the trail! I wish the 6,5 would be lower ,maybe a double low would be a good choice.

Thanks! It has been through the Rubicon twice now, my dad drove it through you can see in my 2016 Rubicon video. I do agree it needs lower gears as well.

Wow, I'm impressed that vehicle completed the rubicon. What size tires? Lockers?
@BuiltForDirt10 жыл бұрын
It has 31s, and only a rear locker. We actually had the least amount of trouble, we never got stuck once. While the CJ-7 ripped out his oil pan drain plug, and the JK had to winch out once. We cruised right through, we did stack a few rocks here and there but not as much as you would think. I was impressed with it too

Research! Figure out what you want to build your Samurai for first and do it right the first time. Rock crawling, mudding, light trail riding are all different types of builds. Typically Samurai axles are good for up to a 31” tire (33s with chromoly shafts). Anything bigger you will want Toyota axles. There are lots of information online like Pirate 4x4, Suzuki Samurai Owners group on Facebook, tons of other forums as well. I’m always down to answer any questions, but figure out what type of wheeling you want to do and go with some buddies to make sure you like it before you invest lots of time and money.

@@BuiltForDirt I watched it but in the comments here you mentioned you were running 1.3 vs 1.6 and by the looks of the way you were wrestling the wheel on the Rubicon I'm guessing you added the power steering later. So is the suspension the same as when you recorded this video?
@BuiltForDirt4 жыл бұрын
At the time of this video it was just a spring over kit from low range off road. You are correct the power steering was added later as were the YJ springs and RUF springs. You can see it go through the Rubicon with the 1.6, power steering, and better suspension in this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/nJrWmIiiZr6BkLc

what engine you got ? 1.3 carb? or fuel injection?
@BuiltForDirt9 жыл бұрын
At the time it was 1.3 carb. Now it has a 1.6 8v, still on carb.

Amazing, tires 31 with original differential?
@BuiltForDirt8 жыл бұрын
Yes 31s, Spartan locker in the rear.

Was that a lizard on a leash?
@BuiltForDirt7 жыл бұрын
Lucas Avalos Sort of! It's a little trick I learned as a child to catch lizards. You tie a long piece of grass into a loop so you can catch them with out getting too close so they don't run away!
@lucasavalos22377 жыл бұрын
Lol I was watching this with my brother and we both thought we were seeing things but then I was like did I just see a lizard on a leash? and he said the same thing. Great video btw I love the editing style and I think the music is pretty damn perfect

Thank you! My 2016 Rubicon video had the audio removed for copyright... it had much better music originally. I have some more great videos in works soon

How much did this build cost round about? If that's not to personal
@BuiltForDirt7 жыл бұрын
I believe it was some where around $2,200 and that includes buying the wheels and tires.
