Nice work Will. Glad you show the fails as well as the successes. Demonstrating what has not gone to plan is in itself a learning opportunity for many.

Interesting. Holga produces better images than I thought. The one of the frog for example - the detail in the background is pretty sharp! Like the washing line. Oh dear I may have to look into Holgas! ;)

You just have to love a Holga I have 2 holgas they are fun and quirky as long as you accept they will produce some unique pictures then your be happy not tried the Holga pinhole good results will 👍🏻

I have struggled with the Holga quirks, but I do look back on them after a few weeks and think, yeah not too bad :) I have it loaded and ready to get out again as soon as I can

Interesting overview, but isn’t it possible the “light leak” was the result of loading the film in direct sunlight?
@WillGudgeon2 жыл бұрын
It can be, but with this camera it actually turned out to be coming from a couple of areas, all now fixed

I think the basic quality of the pictures is surprisingly good. I think about buying one too, though I already use 6x12 setup Ondu multiformat most of the time.

It was better than expected, I do have a mk2 6x12 ondu, but not keen on the shutter system, I like you can use a cable release with this
@trchtr3 жыл бұрын
@@WillGudgeon I´m using the mk III ondu which has a good shutter system.But a cable release is a good option.

@@trchtr Yes I do like the look of the ONDU upgrade, tempted to get one as soon as I can.

Could the lightleaks been caused by loading in bright light ?
@WillGudgeon2 жыл бұрын
I've come to the conclusion that a Holga could get light leaks if it was in a light tight box 😁

This is interesting because my RSS 6x12 has a curved film plane (which makes loading it a real pita) but this one doesn’t…. What’s the purpose of the curved plane then I wonder…. ?
@WillGudgeon3 жыл бұрын
Hi Ian, a curved plane makes for a more even exposure across the film, as the whole length of the exposed film is the same distance away from the pinhole, flat plane have more chance of darker edge's further away from the pinhole.

@@WillGudgeon Will - thanks…. I now recall reading that somewhere! Yours seem fairly even though… Excellent results for a first run out!

Hi. thanks for a video. Im new on your channel. Ive got a question: is any chance to make a video how to calculate exposure time for 120 film? I know u made one film, but what about any update ( with ilford reciprocity factor, some practice how to calculate, how to meter a.light etc?) Regards
