For somebody that doesn’t typically play 7 string, let alone a Multiscale guitar, that was some of the best clean playing I’ve ever seen on a 7 string guitar! 😍
@isaacw.75235 жыл бұрын
Thank for actually making an actual clean demo with the guitar. This answers a lot of questions of mine! Thank you!
@aidandix72965 жыл бұрын
Yaaas some representation for us clean extended range players, it's really hard looking for a new guitar when in every review the 7/8 strings are played with a generic metal tone, like i love metal but i really want a guitar with a nice clean for my ambient jazzy style

@sumgui60105 жыл бұрын
Dude, this is so appreciated. I've been wanting to see a few guitars like this played exactly as you are doing for so long. Try finding a review of a cleanly played mayones or other typical "djent" guitar. Not everyone who wants a fast modern guitar wants to chug and sweep!

That bass slapping funky guitar jam was epic! Thanks R.J. This proves that in the right hands, a metal oriented guitar can be versatile...but not quite as much as our man RJ...
@TWMTWM-eb1lw4 жыл бұрын
R.J. fantastic demo! Really shows your guitar talent well. My guitar teacher is showing me jazz and he has been telling me about using a 7 string for a year now. Now I know what he means!
@DeadAgainfpv5 жыл бұрын
Fan fret or multiscale necks are built just like grand pianos. The lower strings are extended to maintain tension while tuned low while the upper strings are shorter as to not need alot of length to maintain tuning. the fan fret accomodates this length difference. Sorry if someone just posted this same expaination. Great review. I play a Schecter Reaper 7MS and love it. The transition between a standard six string was not too difficult. The fret board is so wide, at least on the Reaper with a 20 in radius, that it does cause you to stretch a bit. Bit since your point of view is straight down, the fanning isnt really noticeable.

Thanks for playing the guitar on clean tone (no one those that these days, and its very important to me)!!! also excelent riffs for the clean tones (havent finish to see the video yet)...

Finally not a metal demo. This guitars a great for every style. Adding the extra string you can add bass to your tunes.

The clarity and tones on this really shows the tonality of this guitar but of course, it's also a great reflection of your skill and how you make it sound with your hands. This is fabulous. Well done, sir

Now, this slap style of guitar playing is something I've not tried before, because I just considered that to be the territory for really good bassists. Would you consider putting out a tutorial on this style of guitar playing??? In fact, I would gladly pay, whatever the price, for a complete note by note breakdown of this particular piece, as a foundation, then develop my own style from there. I've watched you play this style a few times lately, but this piece was a lot longer and absolutely brilliant, R.J.

Would it improve tone and clarity of sound to have fanned fret 6- string guitar in standard tuning? Surely the scale length for the high E and low E must be at least slightly different. I wouldn't imagine that the fanning would need to be too extreme
@Heybuditsme5 жыл бұрын
Haven't played a multiscale but at one point I bought an Ibanez S7420 on craigslist. Wound up exchanging numbers with the guy that sold it and playing music with him for a couple years. Sold it back to him for the same price cause he only sold it because he needed money and had a tattoo of the headstock on his arm. I miss playing it all the time
