Inb4 people comment on missing stuff! YES I realized later on that literally EVERYTHING was able to be reported to Delilah. I assumed we were gonna be in the woods isolated for a majority of it so I didn't expect there to be so much back and forth dialogue LOL. I think I realized like halfway through what the walkie talkie symbol meant 🤣 Remember, this is my FIRST time playing and was more concerned with not getting lost and figuring out how to read maps 🤣 please forgive thIs big DOPE

Just a small tip, you can use the radio to get extra dialogue when the radio pops up by something.

Everyone makes mistakes, she didn't realize right away you could report everything you look at. I forgive you Miranda. not every firewatch player first time will get it right away. Some not even at all.

I played this probably 4 years ago. It's an experience that sticks with you. It's just the right length and doesn't overstay its welcome. I'll have a few more thoughts when you finish, but enjoy the ride walking around the beautiful wilderness.

This is a surprise… looking forward to watching and soon! This game is a great example of story telling in gaming… for the most part it’s a walking sim, but there’s so much that happens between the lines and added in from the imagination of the one playing; it’s like a choose your own adventure book in the best way. There are answers to some of the questions it brings up, but others remain, and linger in the mind long after playing it.

I had to click as soon as I saw this upload. The intro had me choked up within the first 10 minutes. Not many games do that. Love the dialogue and I can’t wait for part 2 of this playthrough. Since you asked for a recommendation: A short game with an emotional story is «Gone Home». It is an indie game and only a few hours long but is in same category. Exploration, atmosphere and story (character based narrative).

Ooh, Firewatch! Nice to see this one won the polls for a shorter, less combat-intensive game to play! I played through this game a long while ago, and I still remember it fondly. It's definitely on that "walking aimulator" branch of games, but I love me my stories and characters as much as I love fighting and shooting dudes. A heartbreaking tale of love, guilt, selfishness, and running away from your problems. All real, adult, and human topics and problems to deal with. I hope you enjoy this one!

everytime icon of that radio-talker thingy or "report" appears you can talk with Delilah ... sure, it's optional, but you can learn more about those two, the job, etc.

As a fun balance , once you've had a couple of playthroughs - you can also do it without saying a word (apart from when you're forced to for story progression) and get an achievement/trophy

I really enjoyed the game, Tacoma. It's by the same studio who did Gone Home. It's a mystery story. It's very exploratory and immersive, and it has a very cool puzzle mechanic. It's quite an understated game, but it gives you a lot to think about.

This is such a good game but yeah the first part really makes me cry because my grandad had dementia. My dad had early onset parkinsons which was devastating. A lot of this really hit home. It's s beautiful game though, in all ways. I've even had the art as my phone background for the past couple of years :)

Honestly, the most I know of this game is it's a beautiful walking game like Edith Finch as well, which I was recommended to play so I will watch that next. I thought this was like the Vanishing of Ethan Carter but with a beautiful fire tower, I got this game on steam years ago but never played it but I am curious to see it and it's only 3 parts :D I am slowly making my way through all your KZbin videos. As a first play through I definitely would miss stuff too because I didn't even know I could interact with all that

There was talk of a tv series based on this game, starring the same actors I believe. Btw the voice actress for Delilah actually voiced a number of characters in Walking Dead like Katjaa and others in the first 2 games.

Ok, so after my favorite franchise (Uncharted), another of my favorite (LiS), now you play my favorite indie game and one of the most well written (and the voice acting is stellar, with amazing banter between Rich "Henry" Sommer and Cissy "Delilah" Jones). I could gush about the art direction, the soundtrack etc. etc. but I don't want to write a novel here. ^^ So I'll just sit in my "tower" and watch you play this wonderful gem.

It's not the biggest deal in the world, but I'm surprised you spent the extra time exploring the garage after exiting the elevator yet quickly rushed from the next scene straight into the woods. I bring this up since there was a hat by where you parked that could've been picked up. Although Sean is the only gamer I've seen actually find it, though.

As for suggestions for games with a similar feel to this and the others you mentioned, have you heard of one called the sui*ide of Rachel foster? Don't let the title put you off, it's a great game and has the same sorta narrative focus and mystery to it. It's set in an old snowed in hotel that was left to you from your father. You also have another walkie talkie friend :)
