I'm one of the testers for the game during the current beta period and I can confirm this game is like a dream. I never in my life thought I would ever see a "girl game" with such beautiful graphics and thoughtful design. And any Nikki veterans will be happy to hear that (no spoilers) the story and lore is just as interesting and wild as it's always been. It definitely has a bunch of game bugs still, developers have a lot of fixing to do, and there's no set release date yet, but I cant wait for it to come out in full release for everyone to experience.

@@jibrilnoflugel1702 yeah basically a gacha on clothes, do puzzles/story quest/exploration, need to unlock certain clothes for unique gameplay thru quests (combat, bug catching, fish catching), you only have one character (which is nikki) then the gacha part is just her clothes for aesthetic

I am so excited for this game!!! And I am glad to see so many of the familiar outfits and mechanics from the original mobile games is being used. I have played the other Nikki games on mobile on and off for years and they are so addicting!!! Now having an open world game to explore on top of it??? I CAN’T WAIT!!!

Oh, one thing I noticed is the Styling Challenge seems to be the same mechanic as in Shining Nikki. There is a filter option you can use to find all outfit pieces of needed style.

To clarify about the gacha (as it is right now in the beta) Bling is used for the in game shops and the gumball machine. For anyone familiar with Shining Nikki, the gumball machine is equivalent to the Gate of Heart banner that costs gold or standard tickets. Pink diamonds are equivalent to primogems in Genshin. You can exchange them for Resonite Crystals for either the permanent banner or the special event banner. Blue Resonite is for the permanent banner, Pink Resonite is for the event banner. It is 120 pink diamonds to 1 Resonite Crystal, or 1 pull. But diamonds and resonite are only used for the gacha so you dont have to save them for other systems in the game. The statistics of the banners are (at the time of the test) a guaranteed 5 star rarity item in 20 gacha pulls, and a full set consists of 9 pieces. When you get a 5 star it will be a new one you do not already have. You also get partial refunds for duplicate items, also similar to genshin impact. All of this is how it works during the current beta test and may change.

I am genuinely immensely more excited for this game after seeing this video, omfg!! I haven’t seen any video this in depth for this game yet and this hooked me even more 🤩 At first I was like "it does look pretty, maybe I’ll give it a try when it releases." But seeing how semi realistic and fluid this game looks with absolutely gorgeous graphics, I’m now like "ITS SO PRETTYYYY!! WAIT, SPARKLY AND SHINY!! omg the PIIINK IS SO PRETTYYYY!!" 🤣 I will instantly get hooked by anything shiny/sparkly and if the pink color looks visually appealing to me (my favorite color is pink and I love anything that sparkles LOL). Thanks so much for covering the gameplay. It all looks so lovely and some great quality of life features, like tracking bugs/fish is amazing. Though I'm still worried about the timing aspect to some of the platforming. I hope they have settings where you can turn the timing off, or make it easier in some way.
