Hey Luke, caught up with the VOD since I was watching Shadys stream, I recommend using your shiny Oshawott on your next run in case you lose, shinies boost your luck (aka how good the items are that you roll after each floor)

Controller doesn't actually disable keyboard controls. You can still use all the normal inputs on either but it does disable the buttons that display the stat changes, which really sucks considering that the controller has no way to display it.

Now I see what people meant by repetitive, game has an intresting concept but definitely doesnt change much, great stream tho luke!

The gacha element is exciting, it's part luck based but you still need the skill to win a run as well.

It changes a bunch after you beat the main version. The other version has no trainers but just constant pokemon and is nuts comparatively.

No one gonna tell him after every 10 levels ur whole team is healed so he doesn’t have to buy heals every round And please catch the Pokémon u want even if u don’t use or add them to the team in the moment so u can have them as new starters permanently at the start of every run after u catch them which I thought u had already figured out at the beginning of the game when u 1st caught ur lechonk 😅😅😅🤦🏻♂️

"It's doing too much damage" So instead of attacking, You just gonna do even more stupid switches, to let it get even more free hits on your mons..? What the fuck? If you wanna restart, just go to the menu and go back to the main menu. No need to throw so hard~
@miguelcordero74278 ай бұрын
Go for the legendary gotcha machine too not only the one from the pictures All the legendarys just have biggest chance pulling the one from the pictures and the ability’s are always different and random not the traditional ones the Pokémon comes with it’s what makes getting same Pokémon bad ass cause can get different abilities and egg moves that’s u wouldn’t get normally or traditionally
@sirnunyabuiz65298 ай бұрын
Always go for shiny, because legendary gacha has no value other than a slightly higher chance of getting the legendary mon from an legendary egg. Shinies have value in a run.

I'm so very conflicted on this game. On one hand I very much like it and another I'm pretty annoyed buy some decisions that kind of defeat the purpose of a roguelike. Everything started off fine and dandy. But once you make it to the final boss and you see. What is Moses and then the second phase and how it covers it's natural weaknesses. And given in men's health and stat-boosting . Can't even pee pee stall because it gets his pee pee back in the second space and can heal ridiculously while stealing all your items. If you're even lucky to get good ones he's going to take it. So in the end I feel it fails at being a rogue like. Games. As it becomes pretty clear that you have to fine-tune specifically for the same encounter all the time. It becomes more of a puzzle you have to solve versus a challenge you have to overcome. You immediately now know you need a steel type you need a fairy type. I even had a fire rock type for the flamethrower but once the double battle. Begins it really just becomes arbitrary and trying to figure out who he's going to Target with what. You're lucky if your Pokemon can survive one freaking hit. It heavily ruined the fun for me because now . Because no matter what you're always going to be attempting to build the team for endgame. With a team already in mind and walking with what you're giving. In rogue likes everyone is supposed to be different and multiple builds are normally usually able to beat the game. But that boss just feels underhanded and needs a particular team. So thier Pokemon you'll never want you will never use them. I've tried so hard to use the Pokemon I like and they just get their ass beat. Even when I put everything into them and try to account for different typings BST matters 10 times more than this games. Sigh Not counting my favorite Pokemon is one of the hottest and annoying the farm because it tends to self destruct. Geodude graveler or Golem. It doesn't feel like I'll win at the end with using skill or knowledge. I feel like I only win if I get lucky enough to get the right Pokemon along the way and solve it like a puzzle. The beginning can be some of the hardest phases in the game. Especially if you chosen your starter Pokemon starts off really weak with horrible BST. And they're quite flimsy. So you're encouraged it again clearly choose the better ones and hope to encounter your desired Pokemon later on. Not counting some information is hard to acquire in a run. When I catch a new Pokemon I'm not entirely sure if I want to switch it because I can't check its summary first. Yes it tells me that it moves and it's values but not it's hard stats that take everything in. I'm also extremely annoyed that when I choose a Pokemon and its ability that it didn't change its ability later wanted evolves. Choose a Meowth with tactician I also want my Persian with a tactician but that changes later. Without tactician Persian is extremely crippled. It's already a pretty weak Pokemon. They showed a lot of love to that Pokemon giving a different variances but not in love in terms of its BST. Gen 1 that speed used to add to its critical chance and they took that away which heavily nerfs it to its arrival Arcanine. Not counting the r&g to get moves I would want for Persian. I feel the game just fails at the end of the day to the name of the fun I thought it was advertising. The idea to play with Pokemon you otherwise wouldn't use. Is a fleeting experienced since you're going to be targeting the best you can. And discard things that you may actually want to keep or you will investing in.

First, huge misconception! PokéRogue is a "Roguelite", NOT "Roguelike"! In a Roguelike you always start with the except same starting parameters. In a Roguelite your starting "Equipment"(/Team) gets better with every attempt. Also both are usually meant to NOT be beatable first try! But hardcore gamers still CAN beat them first try. And they're about gaining knowledge and/or skills to beat the game. Any Rogue-game you beat with any Gear setup failed it's purpose! Also the Assumption that you need a Steel and Fairy Type, despite G-Eternamax having Fire and Poison Moves is honestly kinda stupid. Except for Heatran most Steel Types are terrible to use for the Final Battle! The best Solo beaters are Bulky Mons with Setup, Recovery and Super effective Attacks, and NOT a weakness to Dragon/Fairy/Fire Top of the Line being: (Mega) Slowbro, Slowking, Reuniclus Calm Mind/Cosmic Power + Slack Off/Recover + Stored Power = Eternal Bye Bye... If you happen to have Coaching, Helping Hand and Psychic Terrain on the Rest of your Team as well (but not necessary) Eternatus will cower in fear and not survive even spamming Recover every turn, while Eternabeam like 5 hit KOs in return... (10 turns including recharge turn, never with a Recovery Move) So you can even make fun of it, by using immunities, with a - Steel/Fairy Type like Tinkaton or Mawile - Skill Swapper like Carbink or Reuniclus (Funniest is obviously Deoxys) - Flash Fire User like Ceruledge or Ninetails (or Heatran) Tinkaton/Mawile with Flash Fire is Immune to Dragon/Poison/Fire Eternatus can literally do nothing against this abomination. While they demolish it with Sword dance into Play rough. Alternatively, haven't tried it, but Shuckle using Power Split and Beheeyem using Guard Split should also Cripple Eternatus to a point where most other Mons should be able to finish it off easily. (Also there is probably no other reason to ever use Beheeyem as it's absolute garbage... Except for this exact tactic) Or just use Passive Damage: Salt Cure, Leech Seed, a Curse and Binding Moves deal 62.5% of it's health per turn in passive damage, completely ignoring it's immense defensive stats. There are many ways to beat Eternatus using the weirdest combinations, while still having space for useless Shinies or your Favourite Pokémon. The goal is to find them, assemble them and carrying them through.
