Here’s a BIG TIP: You don’t have to BACKTRACK. If you pause, you can select any of the Golden Spatula spots you’ve already completed. It will teleport you to the spot of the mission, you don’t have to go through the entire level again to get to that spot.

okay, something important to note for future episodes....listen to the dialogue lol. This game came out during seasons 1-3 of Spongebob, and has top-tier dialogue and some of it is really funny. Don't skip through it lol, it's sooo worth listening to it all

I didn't mind it was at least Fairly close but This is the funny thing in the og original Im pretty sure they have every voice actor I'm pretty sure all they were missing was Clancy Brown and I'm pretty sure it's the same in rehydrated which is funny cause it was like they missed the last mon of the Pokedex lol 🤣🤣

To answer a couple of questions. Jelly fish worked differently in the original game. They used to go with a targeted zap instead of an AOE and you had to stand close to them for a few seconds before they went aggro unlike now. The blue jellyfish would swim faster and had a shorter window before they would attack you. SpongeBob's wall jump was slower and super finicky in the original game so I'm glad they fixed that. There might be some glitches in Rehydrated still but cut the devs some slack. This was their first game. THQ-Nordic (Now known as Embracer Group) and Nickelodeon didn't give them much time making the game. Not to mention Activision didn't allow the studio access to the source code for the original game, only giving them the audio. The devs had to actually use a 3rd party tool to extract the level data from the original game in order to faithfully recreate it. You can see the mod creator's name in the credits as "Igorseabra".

To destroy the disappearing tikis, you have to slowly sneak up on them. They respond to sound, and Spongebob can tiptoe to get close to them without them disappearing.

Boom is me as a kid, I always cleared the area of any shiny objects I had access to before moving on. But they skip through all the explanatory text lol. It's so weird that as adults we tend to assume things just make sense because games are the exact same and run on similar mechanics or have a bright red explosive barrel to explain to us very slowly that it goes boom so with older games people just run through under the assumption it's intuitive

this game is so good, it’s my childhood and I replayed rehydrated to 100% completion. Watch your main channel but saw this first time for the gaming and subbed immediately. I’d seriously watch a whole series on you going through this cause the later levels get proper hard and there are really funny bits.

A fun 4-player multiplayer Nickelodeon game is ‘Nicktoons Unite’ for GameCube/Playstation 2. You play as SpongeBob, Danny Phantom, Timmy Turner, and Jimmy Neutron. You have to work together to defeat the evil syndicate of villains, that have teamed up to take over the world(s). Could be good option for a multiplayer Nickelodeon game in the future lol 😆

The Voice Actor for Mr.Krabs rarely took part in the voice Acting for the Games. So much so that Mr.Krabs doesn't even speak in the Nicktoons Unite Game and the Alantis Squarepantis Game. But they did get Him for Light's Camera Pants.

I remember playing this game on the GameCube back in the day. Of course, I had to get the Rehydrated (Remastered) version when it came out. The same developers recently came out with another SpongeBob game called The Cosmic Shake with similar platforming gameplay, but I don't think it's a direct sequel to Battle For Bikini Bottom. I have it also, but I haven't played it yet.

Agreed. This is really solid remake, but there are a bunch of minor changes that make the game feel worse than the original imo. The bubble bash feels _really_ weird in this for example. You get sort of locked into the animation.

I was hoping they’d play it at some point. There are subtitles you just didn’t put them on. I love this game so much. The remake looks gorgeous it plays so well, the music is fantastic, the humour is spot on, the areas are all well designed and it feels like playing an episode. The only major drawback is Mr Krabs and Mermaid Man’s voices, which I really think they should have got Clancy Brown in to do Mr Krabs’ lines and get a soundalike to do Mermaid Man’s lines. Ugh Boom missed stuff in the first Jellyfish Fields area. Ugh Ruff missed a sock in the cave. Soo just decided not to go out on the island because reasons? Also I don’t think you guys talked to Squidward to give him the jellyfish jelly.

You guys should also play the Mario Party game SpongeBob SquarePants: Lights, Camera, Pants! for PS2 too. It's about how Bikini Bottom is producing an episode of The New Adventures of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy in which SpongeBob SquarePants wants to play the starring role. SpongeBob and other characters from the show for various character roles and potentially land the lead role of Mermaid Man and Barnacle Boy's new villain. The mini games are really fun, and it's a good game for multiple people.

Play Cosmic Shake after this. It is very similar but a little shorter. Honestly I think Cosmic Shake would have been better if it was a Battle for Bikini Bottom DLC instead of being a separate game. This game is the classic everyone loves though and Cosmic Shake is basically just a bonus game with extra content for fans that love this one.
