Actually if u say accurately then it's a fact that we wouldn't have seen the 4th great ninja war because kabuto would be dead. But fortunately due to his experience and intelligence he managed to guess that if the rasengan hit him he would be toast, so before the rasengan actually hit him, he had started to use the healing jutsu to heal his body just before the rasengan hits actually which helps kabuto stay alive
