Butterfly is her favorite Mariah song. She needed to cut the Butterfly climax in the beginning because she was saving that for the finale of the medley, it's the bomb. That's how you do a proper medley... you save the best for last... you build a mood, keep the audience yearning for more, then drop the bomb when everyone is already hypnotized. You don't go all out at the beginning. Regine knows that very well, and she's so damn good with it.
