If you want to know more about Welt, check out the video "Everything you need to know about Welt Yang before playing Honkai star rail" by homu labs. Also as a correction on a translation mistake, they aren't actually entire universes (Universe and World can be translated from the same word in Chinese so inconsistencies in translation makes a lot to create errors.) Honkai Star Rail, Genshin and Honkai Impact 3rd are from the same universe (AKA the hoyoverse), with Genshin and Honkai being set on different worlds/planets within that universe. Star Rail visits different worlds. It's theoretically possible for us to visit teyvat and Earth one day for a crossover event.

I'm not sure if this will reach you but if you want something to watch that happens in the lore but not in the main story. I suggest you watch "The Complete Story of Swarm Disaster" and "The complete story of Gold and Gears" by Catwithbluehat. The Swarm Disaster focuses on a Aeon that destroyed 2/3 of the entire universe and Gold & Gears focuses on what happened to mortal life and society just about 2 centuries after The Swarm Disaster.

Just to add to this, as mentioned in the video, there are multiple trains, but after Akavili’s disappearance they all stopped functioning and only the express is currently running thanks to Himeko. Also Akavili being dead is just speculation and the game often refers to him as missing.

For "why is there a Destruction, what is there to gain from it?" There's an Aeon called HooH, the Equilibrium, who's one of the oldest and presumably most powerful Aeons that seems to have some sway over even the other Aeons and the overall state of the universe, keeping it in some sort of balance. Since Aeons like Harmony and Abundance exist, the Equilibrium demands that something like Destruction must also be present in the universe.

An Aeon can also die and have their path completely consumed if their ideal is too close to a much stronger ideal that mirrors the same general concept. Just to give an example of how crazy some of the Aeons get, there is one known at Finality that was created at the end of time and has been constantly moving backwards through the flow of time until they reach the starting point of existence at the same moment time reaches its end, lol.

Paths never die. They can be dormant but individuals can still pursue that path. Like Argenti pursuing Beauty. Also path subsumed into other Aeons are also not dead. It's heavily implied that Propagation became part of Abundance for example.

There’s only one universe. Blame the translators for translating world into universe. It’s well known now due to other translations that the English translation is wrong in HI3rd and wrong in a few places in HSR. They use the Many Worlds Interpretation to explain the Honkai Universe

Some points of this video made you a bit of confused with its statements. She tried to not simplify the terminologies too much but you can easily dumb down these terms into these: Aeons: God (anything which somewhat has a mind can become one, Nouse is an Aeon made by a human "AI") Emenator: Prophet (Aeons give them a small portion of their power when they catch the eye of an Aeon "gaze upon to" as she said, there are some expectations at how people can become emenators. The Aeon of Nihility "nothingness" for example isn't really conscious but it is rather a black hole and anyone who gets close to it becomes an emenator as that Aeon "its name is IX" doesn't have control over anything.) Path: Religion (as said, the philosophy of the Aeon which the believers follow) pathstrider: Believers Imaginary Tree: Universe (it is a physical thing and not metaphoric thing. Everything is made out of the energy comming from it which is Imaginary Energy, like the matter of our universe) Sea of Quanta: The place where the universe is expanding on. Factions: cults of the religions. When aeons die their path still can exist as a religion wouldn't just end because their leader died. For a path to completely end it must lose all it's followers, either by getting wiped out in a war or them stopping to believe A person doesn't have to become an Emenator of an Aeon to get the blessing or power of an Aeon. There are some cases where we see an Aeons giving power to a pathstrider from another Path. For example Fu Xuan is a character which got her powers from the aeon of Erudition while she is a believer of the Aeon of the Hunt. Aeons simply can do whatever they want and if they see you fit to their philosophy they give you their blessings. Also emenators can share from the power they hot from the aeon to others too. There is nothing such as "the MC can't stay anywhere too long" i don't know where she get that from but the stelaron in the MC is stable and nothing will happen as long as nothing makes the stelaron in the MC unstable. Staying somewhere too long won't make the stelaron unstable though. Maybe she tried to say that if the stelaron becomes too unstable while they are somewhere it would cause trouble to that place but that doesn't make sense because they always stay somewhere and teh stelaron can become unstable any moment

All of em are real short If ur interested, ggz also has specific songs representing each character. Bronya's is "angel of sin", mei's is "diva of disruptive world", and kiana's is "starlight map". The first 2 will probably sound somewhat familiar if you watched the animated shorts from HI3rd

To give context to how isanely and incomprehensible an Aeons power is, let's just look at Aha the elation. Aha is basicly the god of fun, joy, all which fall under elation... and elation can come in many forms. So long as it brings joy or fun to you or others, anything can really be considered elation... Which is why as a joke, this Aeon casually decided to join another Aeon's faction (Funnily enough, that faction just so happened to be the astral express, which we're a part of) years back. The Aeon then stayed there for like a year undercover, and then suddenly casually BLOWS UP A PLANET WITH HALF THE EXRPRESS ALONG WITH IT. Basicly, an Aeon is a being that can casually destroy a planet if they really wanted to, and it wouldn't even take a fraction of their power to do so

Saying that these alternate versions of people, while they have the same face, their circumstances and personality may be entirely different, though oftentimes "they share they same fate" whatever that means. The second time it's mentioned was on the forum from the ghost hunting quest. When the picture of the two Bailu surfaced, some of the forum users were debating on whether it was "parallel spacetime isotypes", the in universe term for this phenomenon, or not. But they decided Bailu wasn't one since it was just a heliobus. The third time it was brought up was during the conversation between welt and acheron about their pasts. Welt saying that his Kevin nearly did the dream thing that penacony was about, while acheron saying that she killed "that man" on her world. Plus some stuff about how they aren't the same versions of the people they know to each other.

You gotta realize that unlike in genshin where its just a bunch of gods in a single world, the Aeons are cosmic entities so the scale is unimaginably bigger. They could easily destroy whole planets. (One Aeon in particular is just a huge black hole). So yeah, not necessarily beings that you'll just find chilling on a planet and can be friends with. I'd say the archons in genshin are more similar to Emanators (those who were gazed upon by the Aeon of their path). Emanators are basically VIPs in their paths and their power are granted to them directly by an Aeon

Luke they explained, Welt slipped through time and space from Honkai impact verse and ended up into the StarRail verse only to be picked up by the astral express. Btw you could play Honkai Impact first cause StarRail references a lot from Honkai Impact it's crazy and developers were also said that honkai impact players would feel so much nostalgia from the starrails story which they did make it happen.

NO, do not play Honkai Impact 3rd first, I know we all are fans here, but come on, the game is not beginner friendly, LIKE AT ALL. The gacha is the worst from any other Hoyoverse game, the story isn't as polished as the other games, and overall the game STILL feels like a cellphone game compared to the others. The gameplay also becomes less and less frequent until the point that you are just reading a visual novel. He will NEVER catch up to the game YOU DON'T NEED TO PLAY HONKAI IMPACT FOR YOU TO ENJOY STAR RAIL. Star Rail is the game to go as a streamer. There's a reason for Star Rail's popularity to be enormous compared to Honkai Impact. It's just way more accesible and, honestly? I think it's the best game from Hoyoverse. All the polish and lessons learned from Genshin, with ALL the love they give Honkai Impact. It's the perfect combination.

There is one aeon per path. They're like the be all end all of a path, or the "god" of a path. The playable paths are basically just roles. Most of the paths attributed to playable characters don't match up to the paths that they actually follow.

The video is 1 year old and looks like knowing of the Honkai Impact story is recommended to understand more deeply the lore of HSR. There are a lot of references that HSR mentioned from HI and there were some moments where characters were speaking about something, but you don't understand, because they speak abstractly, which you will understand only if you know the HI lore. Moreover, alternative universes were mentioned a lot inside the Honkai Impact, but there also were Houkai Gakuen 1/2 games that were predecessors. They share some same characters, but they are different, but they can have some similar basic story points, which means that there is also something like a concept of unavoidable fate points that will happen in some one or other ways. We have already seen some of those things in HSR with Seele, Bronya, Cocolia, Natasha(Raven in HI), and currently with Acheron (Raiden Mei). Also, for example, all games have one person who dies in all universes, without alternatives, so we can wait for something like that in HSR. It's important because the mentioned Welt comes from the HI world, knows about it and wants to save that person at least here. And one more thing, Welt comes into the HSR world not alone

Basically the main character (Trailblazer) can't settle down long term anywhere. If she/he did the stellaron would start to destabilize but it doesn't blow up like a bomb. It does OTHER things. Himeko and Welt are great at stabilizing stellarons so they are perfect companions for her/him. Stellarons tend to do things like open up destructive rifts, warp reality, tempt leader of factions or worlds to do horrible things in exchange for miracles etc. They don't work like grenades or A bombs.

To add context, the Stellaron is just a concept of a bomb since it's stable in the Trailblazer's body but its effects are mostly fracturing reality creating monsters, changing environment. 26:35 - Aeons are the masters of the path. Only 7 are playable but 18 are in game. It doesn't mean that it will stay at 18 since AEONS can be made or evolved into if you have a concept and commit to that concept. Since concepts can overlap, it's also one of the reasons why AEONS can kill each other and take over their path. For example Propagation, Beauty and Abundance have similar concepts. Also Destruction and Nihility has overlapping concept too.

The Destruction views everything as a mistake while the Nihility views everything as meaningless. Nanook wants the everything to end because it's a cancer on the universe while IX doesn't care what happens because nothing matters. Both Aeons are destructive forces but fundamentally look at the universe in different ways. Ena and Xipe are a little harder to figure out. I'm still working through that myself but going off the latest patch I'd say both paths wanted peace in the universe but the big difference was choice. Order forces peace in a totalitarian sort of way while Harmony creates peace with compassion. I don't know if I completely agree with this statement but I saw someone online say "Harmony can bring Order but Order can't bring Harmony". Again I don't think I fully agree with that statement but it seems to be the idea the developers are going for with these two.

The Imaginary Tree and the Sea of Quanta are multiversal+ , metaphysical constructs containing bubble universes that vary widely in size, from a hill with a tree to entire star systems. Traveling between them requires a massive amount of Imaginary Energy or Honkai energy. In _HI3_ , there is some technology capable of opening portals into the Sea of Quanta, and the Divine Key _Cosmic Juggernaut_ , which is also a train, can be used to look into or travel to them as well. The Herrscher of the Void has sovereignty over space, and so can travel through Imaginary Space. However getting to the Imaginary Tree and retaining your own will is far harder. _Thus Spoke Apocalypse_ depicts the end of Otto Apocalypse doing exactly that, and he needed Bianka Ataegina and Kiana Kaslana to attack him with all of their power to even get there, let alone resisting becoming the Imaginary's slave when he touched the Tree (like the numerous versions of himself who failed, and who he had to fight). Apparently in _GGZ_ , one of the god-beings there killed Zeus and created the Imaginary Tree from his corpse. Being the one responsible for the creation of the Honkaiverse, you can imagine this individual being extremely powerful. Thanatos is that, however there's also more above her, including an author avatar who can make anything at all happen. These beings are so powerful they could destroy the multiverse by rolling over wrong in their sleep. And you do _not_ want them to wake up.

It is a game so the path part of 18 paths lore are for story. The 7 paths are main concept of game play, for example a character of Abundance path act as healer while a character of Preservation path act as shielder/tanker in term of game play. There are other paths which can be said like religion other than 7, they have ability suit their own path but not play able concept, example Fuli, aeon of remembrance path, his concept is memory, his faction is Garden of Recollection whose gathering memory of all world and living, Black Swan is one of this faction, she can read/collect memory of things but she playable character as nihility path as debuffer mage concept.

Paths cliffnotes: Paths are wells of imaginary energy that are bound to a specific philosophical concept. Aeons are the master and embodiment of their respective paths. People who follow a path are called pathstriders and those who catch the gaze of their aeon can be granted power by them and become an emanator. Factions are groups of people who follow a specific path but some factions can sometimes deviate from or go directly against their respective aeon. Paths can still exist even if an aeon is dead, like how the nameless can still access the power of the path of trailblaze even though Akivili is gone.

I strongly recommend to watch Homu Labs "Why is the Honkai Series so Confusing?! - Translation and Terminology Issues Explained" video before any guide. Because this video already tell false info in it's first minute. The Hoyoverse playerbase is full with people who think they get the lore, but has no clue at all about it. no one path have multiple aeon. but some path have “almost” the same outcome. For a content creator, Impact's abundance of content is definitely marketable, but Honkai Impact chapters become quite long, and I don't know how satisfying it will be for viewers and yourself to split a single chapter into too many parts. Star Rail in that regard manages to kind of make story chapters manageable to stream in one or two sittings. tl;dr: As for which one you should play first - The heart says Honkai Impact, The brain says Star Rail

Just answering a few of your questions: Every path has an Aeon. But as said in the video, the trailblaze path's Aeon, Akivili is dead. So there are paths that used to have an Aeon and maybe now they don't. Currently, 7 Paths can be played in the game. While the others, may or may not be playable in the future. Who knows? Out of all the other trains in the railway system of Akivili, the Astral Express was the only one train left that was found and fixed by Himeko (the boss of Astral Express). The railway is still there, but the other trains are lost and probably broken with Akivili's death. So the Astral Express is the only one that can use the railway system made by Akivili. The trailblazer (us as players), is like a time bomb. But the nameless (those who board the Astral Express and travel across the universe) have experience in dealing with stellarons (the bomb inside our body). So if someday we decided to blow up, then they are there to handle it. Also, the trailblazer was just created by Kafka and Silver Wolf out of nowhere and leaves us confused with no specific goals or purpose. Traveling with the nameless on the Astral Express can give us some sort of goal or purpose that we can find. Those two are the main reasons we as a player travel on the Astral Express.

welt in star rail is the same welt from honkai impact, he crossed dimensions and got picked up by himeko and the express. there are a lot of easter eggs from impact in star rail, but that's most of the connection between the two games.

Something I want to correct. The Trailblazer does have a past before the start of the game. It is just vague and obscured. It is just their memories have been altered with the only thing remaining is bits and pieces of the past with Kafka. Funny enough, it is heavily implied that Kafka and Trailblazer had a romantic connection before the memory wipe imo. (via references like the red string of fate/destiny to romance novella/romance opera, dialogue in game, etc)

Star Rail is a turn based Game, with semi open world moments(fights only in turn based, exploring in "open World") If you want to go with hype and a good "easy" game, go with Star Rail, if youre loreheavy and want action yourself go with Honkai Impact the Imaginary Tree is somewhat real in the Honkai Impact 3rd game, one character actually got to it , maybe you remember the "Thus Spoken Apocalyplse" Animation short? thats the whole thing about it, also you can see the Imaginary tree as a bigger version of Yggdrasil, the World Tree from Nordic Myths The moment with the Abundance path, himeko is actually from the Erudition Path. you should watch the Welt video from Homu Labs, if you want to know about him more also he has a Video about the whole honkai Series as a summary

I have a response to the grenade analogy. The main point here is that wherever you decide to stay for a long period of time, that one place would be more likely to go down with you and that would be selfish to instill that fate on to others without (worldwide scale) consent, in contrast to dealing with the situation when it happens while moving forward. This concept is strengthened with the idea that something, somewhere or someone might be able to help you deactivate the grenade, so its better to keep moving and search for a solution rather then hole yourself in a cave and wait to blow up, specially since you are traveling with "grenade experts" and they know you are not gonna blow up any time soon, at least not on your own with no provocation. To go more into game specifics without much spoilers: the two large groups that could be bothered by this potential explosive danger and know you have a nuke inside are the space station that don't mind you staying as long as you become a lab rat and the Express that want to help you solve the issue. Maybe in later installments we could encounter a planet that don't mind or are not bothered by that explosion threat and then we can ponder "why keep traveling if you can just stay here?", but because this is a....for lack of a better term, "Dimension Bending Nuke", it would be a highly unlike scenario without an ulterior motive.

It could be clarified that Nanook is more of an embodiment of entropy rather than destruction in the usual sense, be it blowing up a building for a purpose or breaking a thing for a show of force Accordingly, his way is simply to accelerate the entropy of the universe by any means necessary without any benefit or thought of "what's next" Basically aeons are not individuals even in the full sense but mostly embodiments of the concepts they represent, aeons are still able to think and make decisions but only within the framework of their concepts, the rest just doesn't exist for them. Also killing an aeon is not killing it as a living being by some powerful force (as an aeon is no longer a living being in the full sense), but taking the very concepts it embodies out of its path and absorbing them into other aeons with similar paths or completely destroying them, if possible. So the killing of an aeon can be compared to the destruction of a religion, only on a cosmic scale

Himeko, the lady with red hair isn't abundance btw, she's erudition, but in her lore she's more tied to the path of trailblazing (our own faction), while the characters have a path they're assigned to for gameplay purposes, they do not follow that path themselves always, some of them then again do. Another example is Jing Yuan who very much follows the Hunt: Lan but is erudition (I don't particularly know why they chose that for him since hunt is also playable). Sparkle is a follower of Aha, the Aeon of elation, but considering elation isn't a playable path she got stuck with harmony. Every path usually has a role it's designed for or fulfills, like destruction usually being high damage dealers that use their own HP as a resource, harmony being supports that provide buffs, abundance being healers... etc etc And yeah Star rail is a great game, it plays a bit like Persona/Pokemon because of its turn based combat, it's not as grindy as Genshin and is a "bit" more generous with giving the premium currency, it is quite playable F2P or low investment imo. This game is also hilarious, it's incredibly self aware at points and has references to memes and other great pop culture, you can decide to be a dumbass in conversations and the npc's will just look at you like "what did you just say???"

Also maybe good to know, Himeko is one of the characters on the standard banner (1 of 6?) so you can get her as your first 5* because you get one of them for 50 standard pulls, after that you can eventually get her guaranteed after 300 standard banner pulls but this would take a while of course.

React to other Honkai Impact version trailers, you literally did only some in beginning and some in end of list. 10:33 I don't completely agree with that. Becoming an Emanator require a bit more than just a glance 'cause in-game Emanators are more limited by Path's philosophy / concept than ordinary people (but of course less limited than Aeons). But I need to refresh my knowledge about it to argue 12:05 if I remember correctly the Path is settled when it receive it's Aeon but after it keep existing even if it's Aeon is missing or dead (meaning that special blessing keep working). And no -- one Path = one Aeon. There is also a thing that one Aeon can consume another if their Paths' philosophies somehow close enough (stronger eat weaker). And these Paths will assimilate with each other in the same way So, Star rail or Impact. While H:SR is more fun to play in the beginning (and I'm sad to admit it), you need to put effort to farm materials and equips for comfortable playing. But HI 3rd have main story trial characters for this purpose (except some first chapters), but a bit slower in the beginning for story to become "FIRE" (the Captains know what I'm talking about). If you don't mind to farm from time to time then H:SR. If you don't want to waste time on it, then HI 3rd 14:40 "Mere mortals can't understand the Aeons' way of thinking" (somethin like this was said). It's like you commented in 7:42, no benefits, no purposes. It's all we know for now 17:00 To blow up is some constant possibility with no depending from the place you are at and from people around you (except of special circumstances) 20:13 we still don't sure who was with him and don't know where is / are this one or more friends 21:30 since that video was made around the release it may look like this but later on in Kafka's character side quest we learnt that even if Trailblazer has a unique origin he/she wasn't synthesized at that moment on Herta space station. Before the start of the game he/she "was beside her" (quote of another character) and seem like was taught language, battle skill and etc. by Stellaron Hunters or by Kafka herself. And after that most of the memory was deleted ("we" were able to remember Kafka and our "name") 25:20 It is a one train, but... In time of Akivili the Trailblaze first ride of Astral Express was to set communication (or something like this) between planets and after this usual interstellar travels by spaceships began 26:11 Fun thing that beside others Aeons there is a "fun" Aeon (the Elation) and this Aeon in the past did blow up the train once 😅 This one is doing everything they find "fun" Red.: This is a lot of letters 😮 Hope I didn't scare you or anything by those. You should check out IslandXD's stuff. He's an incredible reactor and theorycrafts the entire Hoyoverse. His main focus in the past tends to be Genshin, but he's extremely well versed in HI3 and HSR as well (as well as many other gacha games, including Arknights and Reverse: 1999).

Nanook acsended in a world destroyed by Swarm, he saw most brutal forms of war and strugle it gives to mortals. So he believes, that existence of various creatures is meaningless if it could bring only strugle and pain, and destruction of everything would free everyone. Also Aeon can't change Path, THEY are the master and a slave of Path at the same time. Also connection between stellarons and Nanook don't have evidence (for example, stellaron can stop invasion of Antimatter Legion), it is just asumption.

Hsr lore is actually unparalleled imo... But u will see only if u play through it. I will not spoil anything,this is just a little more about the game: they play a lot with philosophical ideas, and all known aeons being embodiments of certain concepts (destruction, harmony, nihility...) makes for very interesting interactions, both between the emanators of their paths and main characters, and also main characters and aeons themselves! Hsr has multiple endgame modes where you encounter eaons and get a chance to talk to them and also a lot of other creations. It also has a main story, story drivers of course and really good world building. It has multiple organisations,political plays... Your story begins in a space station but you get to travel to different worlds with the express crew and connect all the worlds and experience history in the making. U saw that the trailblazer (main character) is actually with the express crew because: the crew already knows how to take control over a stellaron disaster in case it happens (btw, stellaron wont be exactly like a nuke, but more like a disaster nuke - different kinds of terrible things come to be, its not necessarily an explosion) so they travel with the crew who can handle it and also because the astral express is where they got "left" or "abandoned" to be:) In my opinion you would enjoy the game even if u play it off of work just in ur time. Honkai Star Rail is my first game into anything developed by Hoyo, so definitely don't feel you have to play the others and aren't connected like Ashikai mentioned. I would say you might like HSR a lot more for both story & gameplay especially since I know you like to pause and comment and the gameplay of this is very much more turn based as HI3 is more action. So you could easily take times to pause and talk between or mid battles. I hope you start playing very soon!

The thing about Honkai impact and honkai star rail is that eventhough it is called differient universe. Ingame lore had depicted that the so called each leaf in the imaginary tree being an universe is actually not true. As they are rather solar system rather than unuverse. Meaning that HI3 is set on Earth and the solar syste.. And HSR is about traveling through diff worlds.. Aka they travel to diff solar/star system so.. They are dirrctly connected.. So is genshin.. (Which sits in some random area in a vast immeasurable universe). So eventhough it is connected.. The chance of them interacting id low.. About as low as choosing 1 planet among trillions and trillions of planets and selecting one that they reside on.

I do wanna make a slight ammedum on something they said: Akivili is not dead. Akivili is missing. Those are two very different things. You can consider Akivili dead but that isn't accurate. (It's also my theory that March is Akivili, but that's just a theory)
