Not really though, I mean sure the suits got sillier in some series but the stories are not quite as silly as you may see. Hell, I watched Gaim 3 times because how they twisted the story from being delightful to downright dark.

Kamen Rider Hibiki is Kamen Rider. For context, they take on a more mythical, organic transformation without use of technology. The theme and motif is music, oni, and yokai. The suits they transformed into takes the appearance of oni, japanese Orgre, as you can tell by the horns. For Kabuto, their armour that they first wear when henshin is called the Cast Armour and is meant to represent the pupae or chrysalis stage. When they "Cast Off", armour is taken off and replace with the adult insect stage. It is pronounced Den-O, not zero. And the theme is time travelling and trains since they literally use a time travelling train. So that is not a card, it is pass. Like a train boarding pass. While Kiva (spelled Kee•Va ) is based on Vampires and monsters, Ixa is based on christian knight, as you can by the Christian cross in his design.

As someone else mentioned, Hibiki originally wasn't originally a Kamen Rider show. It was meant to be a different toku show to challenge Toho's toku show Chouseishin Gransazer which was beating Kamen Rider Blade. The original idea for the show was a mix of Shotaro Ishinomori's (creator of Kamen Rider) other heroes. The show is very, very japanese with its onmyoji and oni themes. Bandai just forced the show to be renamed as a Kamen Rider show. It's more mature, so the it's understandable that saying "henshin" is just skipped entirely. Toei got heavy flak for forcibly removing the first producer of the show.

The thing with Den-O is that Satoh Takeru (the main actor) went busy after Den-O, so they de-aged the character. And you're right, he's also Kenshin from Rurouni Kenshin live-action movie.

you have good intuition. It's true that Hibiki was planned as a program other than Kamen Rider. However, Bandai did not want to lose the Kamen Rider brand, so they broadcast it under the Kamen Rider name. That's why I don't call it ``transformation,'' nor do I transform with a belt.

Hibiki (Hee-bee-kee) was originally not a Kamen rider show, which is why their sequences are a little more unique compared to the other riders. They later decided to tie the show into the Kamen Rider series primarily to capitalize on the show And the sequences between Den-O and Kiva are from Kamen Rider the First/Next. Those two are slightly darker takes on the first two riders, but they're more PG-13 compared to Shin Kamen Rider from 2023

Blade is the first kamen rider that I almost cried at the end. And Den-O is the most popular Kamen Rider. Everybody in Japan knows it, they have 9 solo movies. And every time there is a movie that includes other Rider Den-O will always stands out. Some Japanese anime or TV shows often parody Den-o. And now the actors have become big stars in Japan.

Since you already watch Kingohger, fun fact the secondary rider from Blade (the green eye one) actor is Grodi from Kingohger, the creepy guy with big hat. Also yes Hibiki wasn't supposed to be kamen rider but forced to so the vibes were different. The first half were definitely older fan favourite since it's different and more mature but since the tv rating was low they change the writer mid season and be more kamen rider-ish to attract more kids. Didn't really attract that much and people who loves Hibiki hate the second half of the series. Kiva is a soap opera

its pronounced den-oh Den (short for densha) = train, oh= king. he is the train king. the train is important, just imagine doctor who's tardis, but its a train. also a good rule of thumb to watching kamen rider. the more comedic the season seems at the beginning. the heaver it gets and hits you when shit hits the fan and the story gets serious. it always get serious...

Kamen Rider The First and The Next are basically like a re-imagining of the first season and V3 with the feelings of Heisei before Phase 2. It is even included in a Zi-O Final Stage with the Amazon Riders of Amazons as those Riders that are from Showa but re-imagined in Heisei.

Basically, Kiva is about a vampire human hybrid trying to bridge the two race. The main character Wataru is the result of a forbidden love between Otoya (played by Grease’s actor), a womanizing vampire hunter, and Mai the vampire queen. The story can get a little confusing because it has two plot lines: one from Wataru’s perspective and another from Otoya’s.

If I'm not mistaken, Hibiki wasn't supposed to be a Kamen Rider series. Kinda like Garo or something. But didn't know why it changed. Even the director and opening song changed along the way. 🤔 I do think the suits are unique and cool looking 😂 The story though, different and interesting actually (the oni and yokai lore) but yeah it would be pretty boring to most. It has kinda "old show" vibe like old Japan or something. I mean the movie was even set during Edo i think. But one of the themes is pretty relatable to me which is the 'coming of age' especially i watched it when i was graduating highschool so i kinda like the show but definitely not recommended cause there are better ones 😂❤

If I remember right, they decided to not split the fan base and changed Hibiki to be part of the Kamen Rider series way later, which is why they don't say henshin. Garo was originally going to be a Kamen Rider season, but they decided to make it its own early in conception.

Fun fact about Blade's transformation, it can actually be used to knock the monster back for safe transformation. Another note is in Kiva where he actually got his final form pretty early at the time due to the chains in one of his leg causing the suit actor to have difficulty moving and injured himself during a shoot. The base form suit was also modified to remove the chain to prevent this from happening in the future.

Kamen Rider Kiva is a work that started broadcasting in 2008. The two timelines, 2008, where Kurenai Watari is the main character, and 1986, where her father, Kurenai Otoya, is the main character, each develop as independent stories. Many fans were delighted when the actor who played Otoya Kurenai, one of the main characters in the story, reappeared in the Kamen Rider series as Kazumi in Kamen Rider Build, which aired in 2017.

I am in the middle of watching Kamen Rider Blade, but I am going through it pretty slowly, and its difficult to rate right now. I watched through Kabuto, and loved it. I don't rank the overall show as high as Geats or Build, but in my opinion, Kabuto has the coolest main character and the coolest suits in all of Kamen Rider.

Blade is a meme show due to the actors in 2004 had bad acting and bad dialouge, even that the actors, Toei and Bandai got along with Blade and the Ondur language Though Blade is very dark when you pay atention to the plot and the ending...... i will day this type of endings is not very common on tokusatsu shows

Kiva tends to be underrated due to it's slow pacing and story conveyed through two different time period which in my opinion is actually perfect for a show based on Gothic horror and really gives it a mystery-like vibe as the viewer tries to figure out what happened in the past to get to where we are now. The way it's told kind of reminds me of the Dracula novel, which was written entirely out of letters, diary entries and newspaper clippings. The full picture doesn't start really coming together until about halfway through and I find that fascinating and fun.

Personally, from this 2nd part, my fav is definitely Kiva. It has some of the best designs and might I say Emperor form, his final form is mighty FINE! I don't mind they introduced it early, just means we got to see it a lot more than other final forms. Especially when paired with its amazing background music. Just peak man. Oh the story is not bad too. It can get confusing with the time traveling but nothing you can't comprehend. It's monster-themed like vampire (obvy), werewolf, frankenstein etc which is so cool. The main story theme is family drama which is saucy but well-executed imo 😆 Den-O also has a decent storyline. They look goofy and ARE actually very hilarious but damn when it came to serious moments, they just got it. The monsters can basically form contract with human and in return they will possess the human. Kabuto is also great. Looks serious but can actually be quite hilarious. The story and twists that came with it were actually kinda good. Oh and AMAZING rider designs and mighty fine opening song 😆 Therefore personally, these last 3 series are actually the start of the best period of Kamen Rider series that lasts quite awhile 😂❤

In defense of Hibiki, I feel like it's one of those shows where yelling out henshin would lessen the impact, seeing as that they literally use pure sound to change. On an unrelated note I really feel bad for this show as they changed directors midway through and got backlash for it. Didn't help that they were already losing faith in the franchise after Blade was unable to outperform Chouseishin GranSazer in ratings. There's a lot more involved with Hibiki's troubled production but it basically boils down to Toei making major changes because they thought the back then current Kamen Rider formula was not working.

The one you weren't feeling was Kamen Rider Hibiki, and your reaction was basically the same as mine when watching the whole series. Something about it is so underwhelming, even when things are supposed to feel cool. It's played almost too serious and misses the whole mark for me in ways that Den-O (A comedy series) and Amazons (a super child unfriendly series) still manage to hit while being so tonally different.

the train one is pronounced Den-o with the letter o, not the number 0. I enjoyed the series quite a bit. Kiva is pronounced like "Keeva", and its the first kamen rider series I finished. Its ranks at the bottom of the 11 seasons I finished, but I still enjoyed it a lot, and Kazumin from Build plays the best character in the show, Otoya. His final fights are incredibly epic

I have two issues with this vid (Not your reaction, the one you are watching) 1) It shows you not only the riders but the different incarnations of them (the future/past versions, alternate realities, different users, movie only riders, ect) which is really messy without any of the context, not to mention somewhat spoilery 2)Speaking about spoiler, the guy who made this spoiled several major plot lines in kabuto, den-o, and kiva. It's not much if you don't pay them attention, but still you might wanna consider not watching the ooo part since you are watching that

Okay, MOST if not all Kamen Rider seasons are serious. The first 9-ish Heisei era seasons are more drama based while the later half are a bit faster into the action (basically Decade onwards). Hibiki is a special case as that season was originally not supposed to be part of Kamen Rider, but later starts doing more Rider based things (for better or worse). Den-O is the closest to being more comedy based, but is still a very good and popular season. The rest have their ups and downs, but overall I'd say they are a fun time and have very deep moments. Personally, I'd say Hibiki, Ghost and Saber are bottom tier, but only due to writing issues that I have with them. Only advice I can give is to avoid Zi-O as it acts as a continuation season so don't watch unless you've seen (or decided to skip) seasons Kuuga all the way to Build. Decade, to me, is okay as it uses alternate versions of the Riders and barely if at all spoils anything from Riders before his season. Also, Decade is a good beginner's season with 31 episodes and a nice way to show off a lot of Riders to see who you might like next, which was how I got into Faiz and Kiva.

@@jayroro7053 Understanding it shouldn't be an issue as Zi-O does have its own plot, but it does spoil how a lot of the previous seasons ended or what became of many characters. So if you did watch those seasons after Zi-O, there's a chance you'll remember what happens and it'll take away from some of the epic/deep moments.
