FIRST TIME REACTING TO AURORA - stjernestøv

Aurora is a singer, songwriter and producer from Norway. At age 6 she started making music, and the lyrics followed from age 9. She is now 24 years old, and has released three albums, with a fourth coming this year. She is the backing vocal for the "Frost 2" song "Into the unknown." Her own music encompass everything from hard-hitting ("the seed") to dreamlike ("It happened quiet"). Auroras music always has a strong emotional core and she tackles issues such as: climate change, mental health, inclusivity and human nature. Aurora has also had dance training growing up. The "Stjernestøv" song (which means stardust) is made specifically for this children's tv-show of the same name. We have this tradition in Norway that there's a christmas themed tv-show accompanying the days of advent leading up to christmas. The "Stjernestøv" show is about Jo who has a difficult start to the christmas season, when his parents get divorced. He is visited by the starchild Elly from the far north, and together they have lots of adventures.

What a pleasant surprise to see this reaction video popping up on my screen, that you posted yesterday. Thanks for reacting to this song, that I requested a few days ago. ;-) Aurora sings mainly her songs in English, but I wanted to know what you think of this sung in Norwegian language, which is a song produced for a Christmas calendar tv-serial for children, released a few weeks ago only. :-) This song is inspired by traditional music. Aurora isn't the songwriter for this particular song, but she's written heaps of amazing songs in different music genres. Hope you dive into more of her stuff, which definitely is worth it.

Among artists and in the music industry the Norwegian singer AURORA is synonymous with quality, and she can fill a record with masterpieces time and time again. Many others are glad they manage one. Billie Eilish said in an interview that it was AURORA that made her become an artist and we were inspired to listen to her.

Glad to see a new reactor to AURORA, welcome. Please note that generally she sings songs in English rather than her native Norwegian, so this song (made for a Norwegian children's tv series) is a little unusual for her. I hope you react to more of her work, as her original songs have deep, thoughtful lyrics to go along with her wonderful voice.

Good reaction! I am sorry to say you got a bad tips. This song is wonderful, and Aurora gives it life, but it is a song she sings for a tv series, it is not HER song..... To give this tips to a reactor that never has heard about the artist is a strange ting to do.... I REALLY hope you dont stop reacting to her... She is a fantastic artist, a genuine person, and a insane "story teller". Try out "through the eyes of a child" from the Nidarosdomen concert... The entire Nidarosdomen Concert and Haik Consert are good quality production from the National tv in Norway, NRK. It is eaven subtiteled in English when they talk Norwegian.

I was the one that recommended him to make a reaction video to this song and I can't see why it should be any more strange to react to this song that to any other song. This is a lovely one and very few have reacted to it yet, which also makes it special. Together with the request I gave a brief introduction of the singer and the song without revealing too much, as that takes away some of the point of doing a first reaction, and I was keen to know what he thinks ;-)

But i can see that a lot of our fellow warriors has told him it is more to her than this song, so I think/hope he will try another one and fell for her music as we have.... It is not a big deal... I just don't agree 🙂, but our goal is the same I guess 😆

@@RunarNyrud After checking out other of this guys reaction videos and following him for some time, I thought that he would fancy this song and was ready for something different. He clearly appreciates other Norwegian artists such as Angelina Jordan. I felt that I gave a good yet short description of what this song is all about. In addition to this music video version, I also enclosed a live performance of this song by Aurora on stage, for him to pick the one to his preference. There's no need to underestimate Aurora's performances even in Norwegian language. It's not less spectacular than other of her performences. I think it's simply lovely. There are a lots of people that appreciates traditional inspired music, even in different languages and Aurora herself clearly loves it too and this song is even brand new. So, why not start at thus angle? I could've suggested another song by her also in her mother tongue such as "Vinterens gåte" (The riddle of winter). It feels like some of you guys make a lot of fuzz for no reason really, but then I guess the mission is done if people comment. Which is some of the point obviously.

I cannot wrap my head around why anybody would recomend this song as an introduction to most amazing singer. Its a great song but its not hers. Its for a tv series. She did help with production though. Try runnaway for strarters

Why this song should be any worse to use as an introduction to the sea of beautiful songs by aurora really takes me by surprise. I thought it could be good start with a less known song which is brand new, and has a Christmasy theme.

I understand your point. And let's agree all auroras songs are pretty awesome. So I guess in that light there are no wrong songs. But the reactor was clearly confused, especially by the video. Anyways no harm done. Happy New year. Sry if my wording was a bit harsh.
