finally u check them out . bang dream is ip frenchise who start from rhytm game like vocaloid osu guitar hero n stuff like that but their song is original n the seiyuu/dubber is the vocal singer n musician they got training with instrument before the project run . so yeah it's insane with for 1-2 years they can do something like that not all of them is newbie with instrumen several member's alrd good as musician who alrd in the music n become the dubber as well . this frenchise had manga comic n anime version (seasonal n movie) as well . u need to check raise a suilen - expose burn out, drive us crazy and all of their song (live concert) well they had in their official channel . the other recomend for me is Roselia - fire bird, louder etc or any of their song they're good as well (from bang dream as well) and the other one is still from bang dream frenchise band popping party - kizuna music live concert . and fun fact this bang dream frenchise will making vtuber as well but specialize for vtuber band well raise a suilen alrd playing with suisei in suisei concert but they're alrd expose for IRL so maybe the vtuber division will be create soon idk when if this happened this will be such a banger for vtubing . well u can watch the anime series n anime movies bang dram as well the movies is full concert of them but in anime version ahahaha n it's good

Greetings and welcome to the "BanG Dream!" universe! BanG Dream! currently has a total of ten bands, seven of which have the voice actresses actually performing their instruments during live shows. Every band has their own distinctive style, both musically and aesthetically. RAISE A SUILEN members (real name / character name): Raychell / LAYER: bass, vocals Kohara Riko / LOCK: guitar Natsume / MASKING: drums Kurachi Reo / PAREO: keyboards Tsumugi Risa / CHU²: DJ, rap Yes, they are both the voice actresses for the anime/mobile game, and the musicians for the live shows. And to answer your question whether they first were musicians or VAs, it depends. All cases are represented within the franchise's many bands. For RAISE A SUILEN: Raychell and Natsume are experienced professional musicians and this was their first ever voice acting role. Kohara Riko and Kurachi Reo are voice actresses who had good experience with their instrument, and Tsumugi Risa is a voice actress who had no prior experience with DJing. While not being 100% faithful representations, the characters always have some traits based on their voice actresses' personality, appearance, background, ... A few examples: CHU²'s energetic and crazy personality, being bilingual and having a tendency to sprinkle English words into her sentences come from her voice actress Tsumugi Risa. MASKING and LAYER working as support musicians, and having played together in the past is based on Natsume and Raychell's actual backgrounds. Hope you'll enjoy your BanG Dream journey!

The Bang Dream franchise has 10 main bands (Poppin Party, Roselia,Afterglow,Pastel Palettes, Hello Happy World,Morfonica,Raise A Suilen, Mygo!!!!!, Ave Mujica and the more recent Mugendai Myu-Type) and 2 side bands( Glitter Green and Chispa) that aren't used as often so there is plenty to react to if you're willing to commit

Here is some context on RAS (Raise A Suilen). That is their band name and the song is Hell! or Hell? You have seen them play with Suisei during her 3D live "Shining memory", her 5th anniversary live. That was their first time they used their anime characters for a live) The members are the following: Layer is the singer in the center who is also a guitarist (in the anime she has brown hair, dont know what else i can say) Masking is the drummer (in the anime she is blond and always wearing a long dress/skirt) Chu2 is the DJ at the back who was rapping (in the anime she has pink hair with headphones with cat ears) Lock is the other guitarist that was going crazy, also has a headless guitar (in the anime she has teal/grey/blue hair) Pareo is the pianist (in the anime she has twin tails and she always dyes her hair for the concert but usualy she has pink and blue hair) The anime (RAS debuted in the anime in S3) came out with already the groups created before (RAS, Poppin Party, Afterglow, Pastel Palettes and Hello Happy world).

Bandori hype!!! RAS and Roselia are my fav bands from this franchise. Hopefully you get more into this franchise and then branch out into D4DJ!

yes they are seiyu dubbing for the anime characters, but Raise a Suilen is a bit different. The real band actually came much earlier than their anime counterparts, and the drummer Natsume and vocal/bass Raychell are genuine rock band artist/mainstream singer before becoming seiyu. The guitarist Kohara Riko was also a professional musician before becoming seiyu.

I did play the Bang Dream game a while back, it was enjoyable enough. (Never watched the anime thought, I am pretty sure the concerts scenes atleast are in CGI and the whole show might be as well.) Raise a Suilen are really cool. And yeah, the voice actors also performing in real life is part of the thing with Bang Dream. IIRC their actual main cast were mostly regular voice actresses or singers who didn't have much insturment playing experience but were thought, while Raise a Suilen is kind of the opposite as they originated as background staff who had musical experience being recruited as voice actors and characters (Edit: just checked wikipedia. 5 out of 8 music groups in the series can play their insturments in real life, RAS originated as a back up band that was providing insturmentals to the groups that can't play the insturments irl). Thought I might be mistaken. Holo related, Iofi is a pretty big fan of Bang Dream iirc. Yukina from Roselia (who kinda reminds me of Suisei a little actually) is her waifu/favourite. She recently covered the famous Roselia song Fire Bird with Sora, I think you reacted to it. Moona had covered Fire Bird in the past as well. Suisei had an air band with a bunch of members playing like two RAS songs which I also remember you reacting you. She later had RAS as guests in a KZbin 3D live. Their MC/non-singing interaction was pretty cute. IIRC one of the RAS members had discovered Suisei (I think outside of the HoloAirBand thing as well) and talk about how she liked her as well some time before they appeared as guests. There has also been at least one Hololive collab with Bang Dream. I think Sora, Fubuki and Aqua were involved. There might have been another one later. There must have been other Hololive-Bang Dream interactions as well (Bushiroad who own Bang Dream are sponsors of Hololive concerts pretty often from my memory). Both by playing the game and possibly by performing the songs.

Different case with other bands from BanG Dream!, RAISE A SUILEN members mostly musician first then voice actors. They started as a back-up band for other voice actors within the franchise who cannot do the band until RAS were given an original song and their own band name...

i spent the last two months watching practically all the bang dream anime content there is (i started with season 1 last year, everything else was recently) i gotta say dude, idk if you're still considering it but huge recommend. from season 1 all the way to the latest mygo i had a ton of fun, love the characters, the stories and the music. hadn't seen this RAS performance but i have seen the Girls Band Party 2022 live and it was insane

I think they are people with music background who aspired to be a voice actress. because as far as I know, they were new names back then in anime industries. tho there are popular voice actress who also filled the character in BangDream (like Sakura Ayane and Yoko Hikasa). both are members of AfterGlow in anime but unfortunately didnt form the real band with their members

These are the voice actors of RAS. They voice the characters as well as do the lives for the original songs of their band. Most of the voice actors in BanG Dream! have no experience in playing instruments so they are taught to play their respective instruments given to them. So yes, their main profession is being voice actresses.

My favorite band from this show is Roselia. There are some shows are also like this. Voice authors having live concerts. D4DJ and Love Live (Aqours, Nijigasaki and Liella). I recommend those shows if you're want something similar like Bang Dream.

If no one told you the voice actors on this anime/game is Voice actors who has talent for music hut not all of them... The anime story is a little like their real life story their are also VA's who's started from scratch on singing or playing instrument.... You should've the anime it wont disappoint you.

BanG Dream has 10 Bands in total, but only 7 Bands that can perform in real life and that is Poppin'Party, Roselia, Raise a Suillen, Morfonica, MyGO!!!!!, Ave Mujica and the upcoming latest VTuber band Mugendai Myu-Type..... Other 3 bands like Afterglow, Pastel*Pallets & Hello, Happy World also appeared in real live concert but only their lead singer who come to perform live.....

The others have already detailed the background of the series so I'll cut to the chase, just gonna recommend my favourite Bandori (short for Bang Dream) videos/season haha. My favourite band from the series is Roselia (Raise A Suilen is 2nd/3rd for me), so I'd definitely recommend one of their best songs, Fire Bird. The vocalist Aina Aiba/Yukina Minato has a very strong voice, and their songs always have pretty heavy gothic elements while being rock. If you want to start the series, imo there are two ways to do it. The first way is about the anime series. The first three seasons are loosely linked together, though you can probably watch them separately without much context. Season 1 is a bit goofy imo, as it's about the formation of the first band of the series, Poppin' Party, and while there is a bit of drama, it's overall pretty positive and casual. Season 2 feels more like a fan service, just to get all the existing bands at that time on screen, and season 3 is heavily on the formation of Raise A Suilen, being the newest band at that time. Alternatively, you can jump straight into the most recent season: Bang Dream! It's My Go!!!!!, in which the story is separate to all previous seasons, only sharing the same universe (and technically happening within the same city as well). This season is a lot more drama-heavy, which can easily continue to pique your interest to finish. This season is the introduction of one of the newest band, MyGO.
