In Korea, men being affectionate to each other is accepted more than in the West. BTS are very close to each other because they have basically grown up together and have been living together since their debut days. They are brothers as far as they are concerned, and they have no problem being affectionate with each other or fighting it out if they need to. They are like family. Also, a lot of what they do is for ARMY's. They do know what they are doing.

They are all amazing. Seriously. However for me Jimin is just different. He’s both pretty and handsome, cute/adorable and sexy. He’s also extremely masculine and in touch with his emotions. His face and smile catches you, but his personality, talent, aura and beautiful soul keeps you. I fell for Jimin and I fell hard and as I got to know more about him I just kept falling more and more in love with who he is as a person. He’s very unique. His voice is my favorite out of any artist I know in general and I’ve never seen anyone move the way he moves. His eyes are literally captivating and his smile is the most endearing and beautiful I’ve ever seen. None of this is an exaggeration for me. I’ve never been so taken with someone before. SMH.

It's not all about the Jimin effect though. The guy is the one they relate to easily, he's caring, kind, playful, a comforter and so much more, that's why it feels like all the members love him more like adore him. Also the one that was staring at him, V, is his age mate and best friend so they kinda have the closest relationship. I think Korean males are always touchy touchy or so and that's why it feels weird to you but if you watch scenarios that leads to those touchy scenes it wouldn't feel so weird. Lol But to get real, a lot of the affection you're seeing is part of Korean culture. Boys show affection through physical touch and especially with one born the same year. also, in many asian cultures, sharing food is a way to show your love and affection. It's a sign of generosity and care. In america, many people are taught to be very possessive of their food. For the BTS guys, they really like their food, but they are wiling to share what they love with each other. And not be picky about what "yours" and what's "mine". There's plenty of food to go around, it's not like anyone is going to starve to death if they have to give away that extra bite, why not share nice food with someone you care about? I think it's beautiful to be able to have that kind of friendship and bond.

Jimin is a loving, warm person, but he needs affirmation from his members. They’ve been together for nearly ten years and have formed a strong brotherhood. Men being affectionate to each other is more common in Korea, where they don’t suffer from the toxic masculinity we do in US.
