You just witnessed the greatest vocalist of all time. He’s from Kazakhstan, sings in 13 different languages, plays multiple musical instruments and is currently working on his PhD in music. He’s been training since the age of 5 (he's 27 now), has a 6-8 octave range (depending on who you ask) has absolute pitch, and is an amazingly humble man. He sings every genre (even raps) He has many recent performances, but I would highly recommend “Sinful Passion “ 2018, "Daybreak" at Bastau 2017 and then "Stranger" 2021 and "Ikanaide" 2021. Hi I'm Joe, greetings from Chicago!👋😊 I think you've just instantly become a "Dear"; how Dimash refers to his fans, as they're genuinely dear to him. You've really fallen into a gigantic rabbit hole; don't worry, you'll love every second! There are scores of performances of this same song, & so many other fantastic songs - you'll easily find a different version of this song that has subtitles, and it'll be a whole other experience from this. Every performance of every song is beautiful, magnificent, astounding - it never ends with Dimash, & he keeps getting better & better, both technically and expressively. So many, including pro vocalists & vocal coaches, say he's the greatest singer on the planet or maybe who ever lived! I'm 61 & been a musician almost all my life. You have been Dimashified. I suggest you go back to the beginning of the Dimash journey. Singer 2017 SOS was his first performance in China. Gloria Wu’s channel has all his performances with English captions and backstories to the songs based on real events. He is only 22 and his performances on that show are special even though he has performed them again many times and improved (who knew you could improve on perfection) there is just something about them that that capture my heart in a special way. Even if you don’t want to react to them all, treat yourself and spend some time getting to know, not just his incredible voice but the awesome person that has so many people totally addicted to him 💕

And yes, he brings you in a roller coaster of emotions in every song. Usually people watch “Sinful Passion” after this song. I watched all his performances at “The Singer” China 2017 so I got an idea of most of the things and genres he can sing. In that competition he sang at least in six or seven languages, all kind of genres, and played several instruments. I think it’s a good beginning for a person who just discovered him. But Dimash is not a countertenor, he sings EVERY vocal range from bass to whistle, which is higher than soprano (think Mariah Carey). Not to take anything away from other singers, but Dimash is unlike any singer you've ever heard before. Not only does he have the hugest range and widest array of amazing vocal techniques, but he deeply touches the souls of his listeners. A roller coaster of emotions... the perfect description of this song. It's best to not be distracted by subtitles the first time, just to focus on his voice. That said, once you know what he's singing about, the highs and lows make perfect sense. Dimash is arguably the best singer in the world, and it's not because of his amazing range. It's because of the colors and textures he uses in every register to emote emotion. There's simply not another more dynamic singer. Dimash is the full package. Dimash is from Kazakhstan and was a special invitee. Strongly suggest u follow this reaction from another Dimash performance from 2018...Sinful Passion. Its sung in Russian but u can get video with English captions. Trust me u wont want to miss this one. After that...well you cant go wrong anywhere with Dimash. He is simply a gift to the world.
