For the season 4 there were a lot of leaks for an upcoming new character before the trailer, and right before the trailer was out, they did a teaser where this "new character" was having an interview on joining Apex games. Interview cuts out with the robot from the trailer assassinating his ass, and that was one of the best character reveals they did to date

Mirage is the funny man, the life of the party, but secretly he is hiding his true feelings. He is just a scared child trapped inside a mans body which is understandable for the legend with the saddest lore. All his siblings went MIA (possibly KIA) in the frontier war leaving him to be an only child to his mother. His dad left while he was very young too so it was just him and his mum. However, Mirage's mum has dementia and is slowly forgetting who he is and has to remind his mother that he's her son.

Like in the Hunger Games, Apex Legends is a TV show. The Legends are the competitors, all of which gain celebrity status due to being on the show. Many people join the games for the money prize, or to prove something. These reasons are detailed in their backstory cinematics.

So for the death robot I'm no gonna go on a 100% detailed description. 300 years ago he used to be human (he was an assassin) after a job he was killed so the company that he worked for took his memories and build a AI out of them The bodies that you saw where something like vessels for him when his body got damaged beyond repair they transferred the AI to a different body without him knowing that he died 2 seconds ago the glass shard that was stuck in his neck send his AI haywire and 280 years of constant death came flooding back

@@adgmanD the man in the very first trailer you referred to as grandpa is Kuben Blisk. He is in charge of the apex games and was the leader of the apex predators mercenary company in the titanfall series.

Probably already been answered, but the narrator of the first cinematic, Blisk, created a group of Titan Pilots known as the Apex Predators. After the fall of the IMC Blisk created the Apex Games where people join to become legends in the games for their own reasons

The Apex Games are an extremely popular televised bloodsport broadcasted across the Outlands, for the whole family apparently. With the exception of Mad Maggie all participants are there voluntarily, winners get money and fame, losers either survive with their wounds, or even die. The reason it exists is similar to ancient Roman Colosseum gladiator matches, it keeps the people happy amidst all the stuff wrong under the Syndicate government. Plus makes hella money Only people who've won one or more match get called "Legends", and the people we play as are career fighters. They're likely not the only Legends that exist, but the ones who participate regularly. Most participants in Apex matches are thugs, mercenaries, nobodies etc. trying to make it big, though those guys aren't represented in trailers or gameplay and are only in the text lore Stories from the Outlands should be completely canon barring the occasional mistake. Launch Trailers are mostly canon, but according to the writers, action scenes with deaths shouldn't be taken too seriously lore-wise as they're for the sake of the trailer, so stuff like getting disintegrated didn't actually happen quite that way. In-universe you cannot be respawned from true death, but most participants aren't trying to 100% kill their enemies as it's not necessary. Taking the enemy out of the fight is enough, if they go unconscious from their gunshot wounds or from getting bonked in the head for example, then that's a "kill" in the Apex rules. They'll likely be healed with the powerful sci-fi medical tech and don't actually die for real, as in the brain doesn't die even if, say, the heart stops for a moment. But if you get your head blown off by a .50cal rifle you're a goner for sure! Some Legends especially go out of their way to not kill: according to the lore book Pathfinder has not permanently killed anybody in the games, while conversely Revenant and Caustic leave trails of bodybags in their wake (filled by those nobodies I mentioned earlier)

Nice job bro! I loved this reaction! I must inform you, however, that you have forgotten a launch trailer, the season 14 "Hunted" launch trailer ;recover it if you want, it is very nice! I also recommend watching the SFTO (Stories from the outlands). Each of them tells about the story of a legend and believe me, they are AMAZING! I recommend them! There are also many other trailers to see, such as gameplay trailers and "Meet the legends" trailers, which in addition to making you better understand the story of each legend, make you see and understand the abilities of the legends! There is a lot to react to! Ps: now on Apex we are in season 14, so be careful to search and watch all the trailers up to this season.

might of been answered in the comments below already, but techincally how they respawn, is if you watched season 5's trailer again, Loba tries to kill revenant by hacking into the core. basically, in the apex games, and i dont know how this works exactly, but when they die, they take another one of them (like we saw in the Loba cinematic with revenant) and put the soul in that one???????? i dont really know about this part of it at all but its SOMETHING to do with that i dont really know. also the core that loba hacked into, if that is destroyed, then if they die they are gone for good

That's literally only for revenant. The other characters come back via respawn chambers, essentially sci-fi magic medicine. They're all tough cookies and never actually die in the fights. The respawn chambers can't literally bring somebody back from the dead, just from near death.

Why does everyone watch them in wrong order lol. You have to watch Stories From The Outlands first, where they show characters' backstory, then gameplay trailers (which btw are barely canon, according to devs you do die for real in the games, legends killing each other in the gameplay trailers is not canon and is just clownery for fun), otherwise they won't make sense😅

Yeah, canonically speaking only 3 of the actual legends we see play per match, and none of them have ever lost. The matches are filled with a bunch of other people that aren't story important.
