I've loved music all my life, like so many before and after me. I've had favorite singers or bands, but when I was introduced to Floor's voice... something changed for me, I guess. I have never "fangirled" over an artist before... but at the tender age of 47, I find that's exactly what I'm now doing!

What I love about Floor her down to earth humble attitude, her height and power, her amazing vocals and abilities to sing in other languages and for those that have seen her play instruments etc. And of course her beauty sends people of many ages, colors, or sexualities into a heart throbs for her. This is from the Heavy Xmas tour. It's a tradition already in Finland. Started about 15 years ago. This year the tour was about to be cancelled, the arranger went bankrupt, but they were able to save 9 concerts. Funnily and appropriately for Floor to be pregnant in this concert in Finnish to be pregnant = olla raskaana, literally to be heavy.

It's a duet. 😂 You've been Floored once more and will be Floored again many more times. "Metal Christmas", yeah. It's almost literally what "Raskasta Joulua" means. It's basically a cover band that makes metal arrangements for Christmas songs and uses guest vocalists to sing them. Yes, it's "O Holy Night" in Finnish. One of my favourite songs of hers. Simply because she's singing most of the time and the music isn't really that heavy, it's there to support, not to obscure her beautiful voice. She doesn't get to shine like this with Nightwish very often - if ever. She did it much more with her previous bands, where she had partial or total creative control. I can't say I'm a big fan of their music, but I'm definitely a big fan of Floor. Her voice IS music. I have a slight suspicion though that it might not be easy for the Finns to understand what she's actually singing... 😂 But I couldn't care less about it.

And at the start she asked the audience to join, and ,If I am not mistaken, at 4 minutes in your video Floor says ' kaikki' to invite everybody to sing along again,and then proceeds with notes that are not in the normal range for most mortal people. I assume it is OK to sing one or two octaves lower.

That's what I suspected as well. I don't know any Finnish except a few words that are meant to be used in highly informal situations, but I can imagine. Finnish isn't hard to pronounce, but memorizing lyrics in a language you barely understand is a real challenge. You can easily swap syllables or say words that don't make any sense. I couldn't care less though. Her voice is so beautiful, I don't care WHAT she is singing.
