the “sometimes i swear without cigarette” line is a reference to an ex-member, soojin, that was accused of being a bully in highschool and used to swear while smoking. she was proven not guilty, but the company already write her off. tomboy was idle first comeback without soojin.

Soyeon is so badass, she build this group and produced their first song alone when the company wasnt supporting the group. Cube abandonned the group before it even launched but Soyeon persevered and fought the big boys and launched the group by herself. That's the tomboy attitude.

These girls are badass! Saw them live twice in NY. I love them. Self produced. Their leader (Soyeon) writes and produces just about all of their music.

Thanks for reacting to (G)I-DLE. They are my favorite group (besides Blackpink) and I think they are really one of a kind. Member and leader Soyeon is writing and producing all of their singles. They are the only self-produced girl group in the industry and that alone is a power move, but a lot of their songs have themes of female empowerment and feminism. They're not afraid to push boundaries with topics, but also sounds. Their discography is one of the most versatile I have ever seen in kpop and they are so good at what they're doing. Love them

Just ask google: Who is the face of Rock in K-Pop, and it will tell you it is Dreamcatcher :D All Dreamcatcher title track infuse rock and metal element into them but make no mistake, they are not a K-Rock 'band' . They are still a K-Pop group that infuse rock/metal elements into K-Pop and they kind of create their own genre. As much as I love XG, Aespa and I-DLE, Dreamcatcher is my Ult group and you need to check them out. Dreamcatcher Scream or Dreamcatcher Justice would be some nice introduction. I have seen Piri recommended earlier, also an interesting entry point, with the more classic rock sound. If you like the rock-y style, you should definitely check out Dreamcatcher, an underappreciated female group. Almost all their main tracks include rock elements, with some B-sides going full rock (and a LOT of other genders tbh, they have a very rich repertoire of music). You could react to their newest track called JUSTICE (coming after OOTD), would be a good start (other good track to start are Deja Vu and last but not least Scream, first part of a trilogy that is more electro-ish)

I-DLE has a wide spectrum of music. Yes some songs are more like rock, but they rlly have many different genres done so far and they always try something new. If your rlly interessed in a Rock Kpop group I suggest u to check out the Girl Group 'Dreamcatcher'. They do ROCK music and are rlly talented as well, but sadly rlly underrated in Kpop

if you want to hear more "rock" songs i think you should check out actual k bands! ftisland, xdinary heroes are a good example! n.flying also have a lot of rock songs but in general i think most of their main title songs are very diverse (Also seeing as you like anime too, n.flying also made a cover of demon slayer ost if you'd like to check it out hehe)
