"Maybe it's always winter here" Look at this guy, getting things right in the first second! This is a book only anecdote as we don't hear in the show, but somewhere beyond that wintry location we see here is literally a place called, "the land of always winter".

Just wanted to say my next upload will be soon, I’m just working on some technical issues and ways to improve future uploads before I release the next video. Winter is Coming Scott, it's always exciting to watch a new reactor tackle this Brilliant Series. Thank you for your update in the comments, you will be at 1K subs before the end of Season 3. Just remember the dialogue in this Series is probably the most important, so we fans as a whole don't mind a pause or two while you react. This is a huge and complex story. It demands one's full attention. There's a huge and helpful community that will help guide you through the journey though. People are very passionate about this show though and spoilers abound in the comments so a trusted moderator or two will be very useful. Welcome to the rollercoaster my sweet summer child. I wish you good fortune in the wars to come. Oh, PS. It's a good idea to use subtitles. I don't usually recommend subtitles, but in GoT I really do.

@@ScottReactsYT it's just that there's sometimes entire scenes in different languages and whichever version you're using may or may not have the translation. You could learn the languages, I suppose, but subtitles is easier. (You can in fact learn the languages. Linguists actually invented 2 languages for the show. Duolingo used to teach one of them..)

Enjoyed your reaction! Please do continue and beware of spoilers. This show is best when you don't know what will happen. Since you asked about the shooting locations: King's Landing is Dubrovnik in Croatia, Winterfell (the Stark Castle) is in Northern Ireland, the snowlands beyond the ice wall are in Iceland, and the southern-looking locations (Targaryen siblings) are in Morocco. Yeah, they had quite a big a budget... 🙂

Don't feel bad, every reactor I've watched starts out wrongly predicting what will happen next. We've all been conditioned by the same repetitive movie tropes. This show broke that mold. You are in for the ride of your life.

Viserys 'touching her up' would be normal for Targaryens, but I've never seen any hint that he's interested in her that way. He's not touching her for his own pleasure, he's checking her over to make sure she's ready to sell to Drogo. She like a horse or a dog to him. "You have a woman's body now" - so he makes sure her body reacts to touches, then puts her in an almost see-through dress so everyone can see the body is working properly. I'm skirting round the issue but I hope you know what I mean. Anyway, another GOT reactor enters the lists. Plenty of good insight. You wouldn't believe the number of people who think Jon Arryn was the King . . . I wish you good fortune in the episodes to come.

Yes, that makes sense and I completely understand where you are going. I still look at Viserys no different though, I feel his desperation for power and power now is too much. It’s like a needy teenager. I look forward to see where he goes with it, because I personally don’t think he would gain support outside of forcing it. Doesn’t seem like a person you would follow by choice, which might genuinely not matter but it’s just how I see him for now.

A new sweet summer child 😆😆😆 you have both my excitement and my sympathies lol. Enjoy the ride, focus on the relationship connections and locations at first. A map is very helpful. The dialogue picks up heavily pretty quickly, but we all had our first watch where we missed some details. Regardless of all the chaos reacting to this series brings to the comments, just have fun! It's a very opinionated fandom 😅 good luck!

One word of advice, do not google anything Game of Thrones, otherwise massive spoilers will show up in your feed instantly. I'd even recommend getting a friend or a mod to go through comments before you read them. Sometimes people spoil unintentionally. Cheers ! As I am sure OttawaJames will agree after you finish each season, you should watch the History & Lore videos. They are full of back stories to help understand what led us to here. They’re also narrated by the characters. Our GreekGuy friend who is just about to start Season 8, did the History & Lores live interacting with us crazies in the chat. He also does a character tier too.
