Jeff also had a sitcom called The Jeff Foxworthy Show that ran for almost 2 years in the 90's. Bill Engvall, Haley Joel Osment (Sixth Sense) and Jonathan Lipnicky (Jerry Maguire) were also in it. It had some other good cast members as well. I thought it was a funny show. I especially liked the episode when Jeff and his wife were deciding who to pick as a Godfather to their boys.

Talk of prayer always reminds me of another good show from the 80s, Highway to Heaven. It had Michael Langdon as an Angel of the Lord who is driven around the country by a normal mortal man, solving problems on missions from God. Another show that sounds like it might be boring but it was really good (imho). Michael Landon was raised by one Jewish parent and one Christian parent, so he tried to have both theologies represented. 🙂

Jeff Foxworthy was in a sitcom show called The Jeff Foxworthy Show with Haley Joel Osment playing Jeff's son. The series originally aired on ABC from September 12, 1995, to May 15, 1996, and then on NBC from September 23, 1996, to May 5, 1997.

Britt maybe you should react to the TV show "the facts of life" it was on the air when I was growing up, late 80s/90s (I graduated HS in 1996).... "There's a place you've got to go for learning all you want to know about the facts of life, the facts of life. When books are what you're there about and looks are what you care about, the time is right, to learn the facts of life..." It was about these girls growing up while going to a private K-12 school where they all lived in a dorm room after class....it sounds boring but it was a great show! 🙂 Kim Fields was one of the main characters.....later known for Living Single. 🙂

The funny thing about the joke where his friend's wife sends the text to pray for him and his wife has so many questions is that the friend's wife is the one who texted with minimal information! Have you ever seen one of those videos of random 20yos being asked questions about the world that have no clue what your talking about? To me, they are things that you didn't have to learn in school. You learn them by having your eyes open and looking around as you go about living your life. That means not having your face buried in a phone. Yes you can learn from Google. It's a great tool. The problem with it is that it presupposes that the user has curiosity about the world around them and has the capacity to frame a question that Google can navigate itself past all the advertisements and come up with an informative answer. If I'm not mistaken, the TV show you're thinking about was a game show. It was very appropriate to his comedy work. Are You Smarter Than a 6th Grader?
