The lyrics tell a rather sad story, but, at some point the dynamic "changes" and everything becomes a big "party"-Masterful really. I recommend also listening to "Amor eterno". People aren’t necessarily standing up and dancing as this performance is at the national opera house of fine arts in Mexico. It’s a renowned opera house in Mexico exclusively for classical music/theatre. It’s most prestigious and only a few of the best get to perform there. Juan Gabriel was the only popular singer-of popular music that is ever to perform there. No other popular singer has ever performed there before or after he did. The opera house is held with a certain respect. In fact, the way he dances here is toned down, pretty tame to what he usually did as he tried to uphold that respect to the opera house
