She sings in many languages, and every one of her songs is fantastic! When I am having MRIs done, I always ask the technicians to play Lara Fabian. Being listening to her fir a long time. There's one like her!

The music of Broken Vow was co-composed by Walter Afanassiev and Lara Fabian. Walter Afanassiev, an american/brazilian from russian descent, is a legendary composer and producer (he co-composed some of the greatest initial hits of Mariah Carey such as All I Want for Christmas is You or Hero and was the producer of the Titanic soundtrack that increased Celine Dion WW fame). He is also now the producer of Dimash for his US career. When this song was composed, Walter and Lara were engaged, they were living in San Francisco’s bay area, but apparently he cheated and she decided to break up. When she took this decision, that she knew would dramatically change both her personal and professional destiny, she wrote these incredible lyrics. Lara has said this is her preferred english song from all the songs she wrote in this language (there are many, and some are pure jewels). One reason is also because this song has then been covered by the greatests: - Barbra Streisand (she performed it in concerts from one of her tour but never recorded it), - Josh Groban (his cover made this song famous in US, she is her friend and role model and he made several duets with her), - Linda Eder, - Cakra Khan, - Gigi de Lana, - Regine Velasquez, - Almira (from 4th Impact), - Katrina Velarde, - Julie Anne San Jose, - Sarah Geronimo, - Morissette Amon, - Petra Berger, - Harrison Craig, - Rimar, - Jackie Evancho, - … For Jackie Evancho, and at the request of Jackie's parents who found the original lyrics were not a good fit for a young girl, Lara rewrote Broken Vow in french as "Imaginer" with a complete different meaning. Eric, as I looked down your list I was thinking, "I wonder if he has Harrison Craig's name who sang this as his audition on Australia's The Voice." And, there it was! Every once in a while these type of Shows discover a real jewel and that was one of them. And, I can never forget how Seal, one of the judges who became his coach, was so impressed with him. @@ericsicard910

My Mount Rushmore? Angelina Jordan, Dimash, Lara Fabian and just chiseled into stone, Emma Kok. Why? They all sing beautifully and it's a treat to listen to them AND, they also have something else in common, THEY ARE WONDERFUL HUMAN BEINGS, humble, respectful, kind, caring and loving individuals and it's that combination that my heart reacts to when I listen to each one of them. Their soulfulness shines through and they take us into their world as we listen. There are so many talented artists in the world we enjoy listening to but, for me, these four make me cry with tears, not of sorrow or great happiness but rather WITH AN EXPRESSION OF LOVE and that sound of love in their voices inspires me to be the best I can be as someone who cares as deeply as them understanding love is the answer. For someone who doesn't quite GET IT yet they will eventually understand what all that stirring around is inside them when they listen to them sing. Their hearts are aglow with a warm brightness and that sensation takes over their body for those precious seconds. A peacefulness overtakes them and IT'S ALL ABOUT LOVE. For those of us who DO GET IT, we can smile because we are so fortunate they are here with us, to sing for us and for us to share their love.
