Meghalaya means "Abode The Clouds", hence Meghalaya State is famous for its lush green highlands vegatations, Table Mountains, Waterfalls, Lakes, River Islands, Rain Forest, Canyon, Gorge and Caves. There are 1,580 Caves have been identified so far in Meghalaya State of India, of which 980 caves have explored so far, hence Meghalaya is also known as "Land of Caves". Krem Liat Prah Cave in Meghalaya State is the longest cave in India. Krem Chympe, Wari Chora and Krang Suri are three beautiful Cave Waterfalls in Meghalaya State of India.

Meghalaya has some of the most beautiful waterfalls. A river named Dawki river during the dry season the water becomes so clean that when a boat crosses the river it seems it is floating in the air. You can find its picture on the net.
