Well Genie thanks. So my youngest (19) has done music production since he was 13. This is one of the genre he does. He sings and writes songs too in different genres but mostly rap and sub genres like this. He has all the gear to produce HQ music. His room is like a studio. He sells the music online to other kids who sing over it and will mix it for a fee. His stuff is on Soundcloud and he's done shows in club's. He makes money but not much, it goes into more gear. But I just don't get it. And he understands music, song structure, plays piano and can write hooks. He will spend a lot of time doing a conventional pop song just to show me he can but then never upload it or shows it to his peers because he's embarrassed by it (too commercial). But I figure if nothing else he may end up as a sound engineer or something and it keeps him out of trouble. So I think it's good you show and help all artist, I just don't get this kind of stuff. Thanks again. Thanks for providing a place to vent. By the way I have 4 other older kids who I had great concerns about but they pulled all the pieces together and made them all work. But teens will drive you nut's.

Flatwoodsdad wow that’s awesome. I maybe be getting back to you on this because my oldest is 13 (boy) and this is the kinda stuff that you mention your son is doing that he’s showing interest in. My son also just started writing songs. Do encourage him. I’m not aware of soundcloud though lol if I tell you I’m so old school with all this technology and social media would you believe it? Yep I’m just about getting my head around YT and instagram and so finding it hard to keep up. I guess I can google it right? I will let me son know when he gets back he’s at the extended family for sometime. Appreciate you.
