Another truly great performance is Pavarotti, singing with James Brown, doing the song “It’s a Man’s World.” Pavarotti did a series of 10 concerts in the 1990s and early 2000’s called “Pavarotti and Friends” to benefit worldwide children’s aid organizations and got many famous singers and groups to perform with him. This performance with James Brown was from one of those concerts. ❤️

This song is one of the most famous ones from the opera “Turandot” which is about a beautiful but self-absorbed princess and the man who is trying to win her love. If you would like to hear songs from other operas that are sung by females, I recommend “Vissi d'arte” from the opera “Tosca” which is about a tragic love triangle sung by the very emotional Maria Callas. Another very beautiful one is the song “O mio babbino caro” from the opera “Gianni Schicchi” which is about a girl wanting to marry someone her family disapproves of, sung by Kiri Te Kanawa. These all are in Italian, as were most operas, altho there were some in German and French, and in modern times, in many other languages. ❤️

Io, da italiano, appartengo a tutto questo. Ogni volta che sento il nostro grande Luciano Pavarotti, per la stessa clip che tendenzialmente inserite nelle vostre reaction, mi emoziono sempre, come se fosse la prima volta.......ma è lo stesso, pur avendola ascoltata qualche centinaio di volte. La voce, il suo canto, il coro e anche il testo è memorabile. L'italia è questa, storia, tradizione, arte e spettacolo.....peccato per la politica.... Un saluto

The Phantom of the Opera includes some beautiful songs, but is not actually opera. The aria is from Puccini's final opera Turandot. Sung in Italian (there is an English translation available). In English, "Let No one Sleep." and the dramatic conclusion, vincero vincero, I shall win! If you would like to compare it with a female voice, Amira Willighagen (CIG 2017) is excellent.
